Getting Ready for Santa Gift Set Designed By: Julie Beltramo

This gift set will make anyone excited to get ready for Santa! The Covered Notepad will help you keep track of

who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Then as Christmas draws near, you can give the Hot Cocoa Tote and

Mini Muslin Bag of Gift Tags as a gift. Or, why not make a few sets of it all as part of your holiday gift giving?




Instructions

Step 1

To make the Hot Cocoa Tote, take out the 8-1/2” x 11” Real Red card stock piece. Along the 8-1/2” side, score

at 2” and 6”. Turn, and along the 11” side, score at 3-1/4”, 5-1/4”, 8-1/2” and 10-1/2”. Cut all flaps, up the 2”

bottom edges, and all 2-1/2” top edges. Then cut off the ½” x 2” bottom corner edge, and ½” x 2-1/2” top

corner edge.

Fold up the bottom 2-1/2” edge of the third section (see picture below), and then push the 2-1/2” Circle Punch

as far up as it will go, and punch. You will punch through most of the bottom flap (but don’t worry, it won’t

show later). Put Sticky Strip along the ½” x 4” end flap.

Turn the card stock piece over. Put Sticky Strip on the bottom edge of the 2” x 3-1/4” bottom right flap.

Use a piece of scrap card stock 3-1/4” wide x 3”, and punch the large oval through it to make a template for the

tote box handles. Then line it up on one of the 2-1/2” x 3-1/4” top flaps. Flip the template over and punch it

again on the other 2-1/2” x 3-1/4” flap.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” to the inside ‘front’ circle window. Also, punch the

Corner Edge punch on the top edges of the ‘handle’ sections of the tote.

Adhere the side of the tote. For the bottom, push in the side flaps first. Then push in the ‘half circle’-punched

flap (so it gets hidden in between the layers). Peel off the red backing and adhere the large flap last.

Take out the two 4” x 6” Cellophane bags. Fill one halfway with your favorite hot cocoa mix, and fill the other

halfway with mini marshmallows. Fold over the backside of each and adhere down with Sticky Strip (or any

type tape).

Place the hot cocoa cello into the tote first. Place about seven peppermint candies on top of the cocoa. Then

place the mini marshmallow cello in last.

Step 9

Use the 3” x 3” Crumb Cake card stock piece to punch out a 2-3/8” Scallop circle. Use the 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” Red

Glimmer Paper with the Big Shot and the Circles #2 die to cut a 2” circle. Then stamp Santa with StazOn Jet

Black pad onto the 2-3/4” x 2-3/4” Whisper White card stock. Then punch him out with the 1-3/4” Circle

punch. Layer those three pieces using Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the box front. Tie on the 10” piece

of Burlap ribbon to through the handles, and ‘fishtail’ trim the ends.

Take out the 3/8” x 3” Crumb Cake card stock piece. Use StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp Hope you’re nice.

Trim the ends into fishtail cuts. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the tote front.

To make Santa’s notepad, take out the 3” x 5” notepad and the 3” x 10-1/2” Crumb Cake card stock piece.

Score at 5” plus a little smidge more. Then score a smidge less than 5-1/2”. (This is based on a notepad that is a

little less than ½” thick – you can adjust for the thickness you have.) Crease the score lines and then put Sticky

Strip on one side of the Crumb Cake piece, plus put a strip of it on the center almost ½” section. Adhere the

notepad to the card stock.

On the 3” x 4” Whisper White card stock piece, stamp Santa using StazOn Jet Black ink. Use the Aqua Painter

and the Crumb Cake ink pad to add some Crumb Cake color to ‘Santa’s list’. Use the Pink Pirouette Stampin’

Write marker to color Santa’s cheeks and nose. Punch out the image with the 2-1/2” Circle punch. Also, use the

Big Shot with the 3” Circle Originals die and the 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” Red Glimmer piece to cut a 3” Red Glimmer

circle. Take out the Tea Lace Paper Doily.

Take out the 5/8” x 3” Crumb Cake card stock piece. Using the StazOn Jet Black ink, stamp He’s making a list

and checking it twice… Then fishtail cut the right side end of the strip. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere

the circle and doily pieces. Take out the 3” Burlap ribbon piece, and add Sticky Strip to the back of it.

Take out the Stampin’ Trimmer and put on the Rotary Addition. Place the doily-layered circles upside down

onto the trimmer, lining it up with the 3” mark, and cut. Layer all the pieces onto the front of the Crumb Cake

covered notepad. Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the ‘…’ on the saying.

Take out one Mini Muslin Bag. Use the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad and the second to the largest Festive

Flurry snowflake to stamp onto the Muslin Bag. Then use the Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad and the smallest

Festive Flurry snowflake to stamp onto the Muslin Bag.

To make the gift card tags, take out the eight 3” x 6” Crumb Cake card stock pieces. Use the Stampin’ Trimmer

to score each in half – at 3”. Use the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad and the second to the largest Festive

Flurry snowflake to stamp onto the card front. Then use the Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad and the smallest

Festive Flurry snowflake to stamp over it. Use the StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp Christmas Blessings on four of

them, and Seasons Greetings on the other four. Add the ¼” x 3” Red Glimmer pieces with Multipurpose Liquid

Glue onto the card fronts. Punch a 1/16” hole in the corner of each. Add the 12” Linen Thread to complete the

gift card tags. Stack them and place into the Muslin Bag!
