Gift AidIf you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you by signing the Gift Aiddeclaration. For every £1 donated the College can reclaim 25p in tax. This means that a £1000 donation made under GiftAid is worth £1250 to Girton.
In addition, if you pay a higher rate of tax, you are able to claim personal tax relief on the difference between the higher ratesof tax and the basic rate in your Self Assessment Return.
