Please join us at assembly at 8.55am on Thursday 29 th June, with a morning tea to follow in the gym. There will be no assembly on Monday next week. Enhancing the Play Spaces I worked with the Year 5s and 6s this week and they assisted in categorising and tallying the ideas to put together a range of play space opons as outlined in the leers. We are proposing to select an area of the playground that will not be impacted in the building project (eg the spaces around the Year 1/2 classrooms) and will begin pung in place some of the ideas put forward by the students. If you have any experse in landscape architecture or know of someone who does, we would be pleased to have your assistance with this. Educaon and Policy Sub-commiee to Report to School Council We would like to re-convene this commiee which worked to support the School Review process last year. We are inving any parents/carers who would be interested in joining this group to nofy me or the office. We will be discussing school values/culture/vision, the School Wide Posive Behaviour Support planning and whole school data such as the Atudes to School Survey and NAPLAN. The group will give feedback to school council and staff and this will inform our wellbeing planning. Communicaon Applicaons At school council last night we discussed the various communicaon apps used by the school. Here is some clarificaon about the purpose of each one: Qkr! – This applicaon is for all payments including lunch orders. Hard copy permission forms are sent home with students. Seesaw – This is an educaonal communicaon app between you and your childs class teacher. You can access at your convenience. It does not include new noficaons or homework (these will be sent via hard copy) however it may include friendly reminders or ps regarding excursions or your childs home tasks. You will not miss any noficaons if you choose not to access this informaon as these are provided as a hard copy. Flexibuzz (formerly Tiqbiz)– We are currently looking into the use of Flexibuzz and will provide further informaon early next term. Shade Sales The Third Round School Shade Grants close at 5:00pm Thursday 29 June 2017. If anyone in the community can assist with compleng this grant applicaon including quotes from a provider please contact the office.
