Fractured Paint Box - Paper Piecing $105 3 Day Class

Mon. Sept. 19, Tues. Sept. 20 & Wed. Sept. 21 10-3

Instructor: Jenny

The Fractured Paint Box was designed as a beginner pattern to introduce quilters to

paper piecing! The project is fast, uses only one foundation block, employs simple

cutting techniques, and is an affordable and fun way to jump into your first paper

piecing project! This pattern will work with the Quiltworx.com Bali Pops Set, which

has 48 strips instead of 40. The larger Bali Pops set can make a 3 x 4 layout of “paint

boxes” . Pattern required.

Cappuccino - Paper Piecing $70 2 Day class

Fri. Sept. 30 and Sat. Oct. 1 10-3 or

Mon. Oct. 17 and Tues. Oct. 18 10-3

This is a great pattern to give paper piecing a try. It is also 2 1/2" strip

friendly. The papers included with the pattern are enough for four place

mats and one table runner. Extra papers are available if you wanted to add

to your set. Pattern required

Need a little boost to get your Judy Niemeyer project going again? Come and

join Jenny to get you going again on your Judy Niemeyer project. If you have

taken a paper piecing class at Glacier Quilts in the past, there is no charge for

the finish up day. It is always more fun to sew with a group.

If not, there is a fee of $25 for the day.

Project is paper pieced using the geese technique of swapping the geese

and background pieces from one stack of 10" squares.

The book Geese Migrations and set of papers are required for this class.

Mini Tree Runner Curved Piecing $30

Mon. Oct. 10 10-3

Instructor: Mary

Explore a new technique in curved piecing using a special ruler

created by Sew Kind of Wonderful. This entry level class will

expose you to dozens of other quilt patterns that showcase curves

in their design. QRC Mini Ruler required.

Oh My! Could it be another language? Come have some fun with me,

experimenting with these strange sounding items, a great way to

spend a Saturday! We’ll use color! We’ll fuse! We’ll alter with heat!

*You will need the “Artful Fiber Kit” for this class. The kit contains a

sampling of 15 fibers and surfaces, a canvas book for our experiments,

and a canvas messenger bag that can also be personalized with your

newly acquired expertise! Artful Fiber Kit is required for this class.

Rag Time Quilt $30

Mon. Oct. 24 10-3

Instructor: Maureen

Rag quilts make great quilt gifts for anyone and are designed to be easy-

to-assemble and quick-to-make. Almost always made from flannel, the

ragged edges of the quilt fluff up the more the quilt is washed.

Pattern required.

Sweatshirt Jacket $45

Tues. Oct. 25 and Wed. Oct. 26 10-3

Instructor: Linda C.

Make an ordinary pullover sweatshirt into a beautiful jacket. Learn

how to cut the sweatshirt, add a front placket, buttons and button-

holes. Options to embellish the basic jacket will also be discussed.

Fusible Raw Edge Applique is the technique used. If you didn't

get started in January, you can still join in the fun. There is

The Bali Bed Runner is a smaller version of our Bali Wedding Star quilt

pattern. Judy Niemeyer selected a group of (96) fabrics designed by Hoffman

Fabrics of California. Hoffman Fabrics precut and packaged the collection

into two packages of (48) 2-1/2″ strips. By using the Bali Pop all you have to

pick for fabric are the accent fabrics and background.

your machine and other techniques.

Class Fee is due at time of registration to receive the

supply list, a 10% supply discount and to guarantee

your spot in the class.

The day of your class your purchases will be

discounted 10%, excluding MO books, sewing

machines, sergers, class fees, clearance items,

cabinets, consignments and gift cards. This is the last

day the discount will be given for the class project.

Phone reservations accepted with credit card only.

We would appreciate cancellations 5 days in advance

to receive a refund or store credit. If you are a no

show for the class, your fee is forfeited.

If class registration is below minimum we will make

every effort to fill the class. If the class must be

cancelled we will notify you and refund your fee or

issue store credit.

group quilt. Stars over Capri is a multiple color quilt.

fabrics and color way.
