Family News Annie Armstrong Easter Offering This is a Special Offering taken once a year @ Easter to support Southern Baptist missions right here in North America. 100% of this offering goes directly to the missionaries in the mission field in the United States! In 2014, Glenwood contributed $832.50 to this offering. This year, we have set a goal of $1,040, which is a 25% increase over last year’s offering. We will collect this special offering on Easter Sunday, April 5th. Will you pray about your participation? Together, we can! National Goal: $70 Million Glenwood’s Goal: $1,040
Only A Nail… There’s a story of a man in Haiti who wanted to sell his house for two
thousand dollars. Another man wanted to buy it; but, because he was poor, he could not afford the full price. After some bargaining the seller agreed to sell the house for half the asking price, with one simple stipulation. He would retain ownership of one small nail protruding from just over the door.
Several years passed. The original owner wanted to repurchase the house, but the new owner did not want to sell. The first owner then proceeded to find the carcass of a dead dog, and hang it on the single nail that he still owned. Not long afterwards the house became available for sale.
Sin is real! If we do not fight it daily and confess it when we fail, the devil will come and hang the decaying carcass of our past sins on the exposed nail of our hearts. So therefore, let us resolve to confess our sins and enjoy God’s forgiveness.
The Bible tells us that, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Jesus didn’t take the nails from the cross to the grave with him. He left them and our sins hanging on the Cross of Calvary!

Our March event was such a blessing as we talked about “Who We Are In Christ: The Masks We Wear!” Barbara Moseley brought us a remarkable message about removing the mask and being real before God and others. Going along with the same theme, we had an Elvis impersonator who brought fun entertainment during our mealtime!
Our next big event will be April 21 @ 6:00pm as we talk about, “Who We Are in Christ: When We Are Overwhelmed.” Our speaker will be June Ray from Rock Springs Baptist Church.
