The candidate who has obtained his/her graduation or post-graduation degree

with minimum 50% marks and bachelor’s in Engineering or technology with

specialization in science and Mathematics with 55% marks (5% relaxation for S.C. /

S.T. / S.E.B.C. students) / from any university recognized by UGC is eligible to get

admission in B.Ed.

2) Rules for subject Selection :

• Students having sociology and philosophy subject have to give admission in

social science subject.

• Second subject method will be decide by institute rather than first subject method

in which university gave admission to the candidate. The decision of Institute will

be considered as final regarding this matter.

3) Reserved and Open Seats :

(To follow the reservation policy of Gujarat Government)

S.C. - 7%, S.T. - 15%, S.E.B.C. - 27%, Open - 51%,

• The candidate willing to seek the benefit of reserved seats should be attach the

certificate of concerned authority along with the form, otherwise application will be

cancelled.

• For taking admission in SEBC category, the candidate should be present

certificate of concerned authority indicating that he/she does not come in creamy

layer issued on 1-4-2014 or there after along with the admission form. At the

admission time the candidate has to submit the same certificate issued after 1-4-2015.

• If candidate did not attach the cast certificate and creamy layer certificate along

with the form then he/she considered in open category there after category not will

be changed.

4) For handicapped candidate :

• 3% of total number of seats are reserved for handicapped candidate out of this 1%

seats are allotted to blind candidate. These 3% seats are including in open, S.C.,

S.T., SEBC.

• The candidates willing to take the benefit of physical handicapped category

should attach the certificate of civil surgeon along with the form without fail. Such

considered in merit for admission under this category. Despite, this physical

handicapness should not be a hindrance for doing work required during B.Ed.

course. For this, decision of admission committee will be considered as final.

• If candidate having more than 60% physical handicapness does not disclose it,

he/she cannot get admission in any other category and if admission is taken it will

be subject to cancellation and the fee paid will be forfeited.

5) For Candidate from other Universities :

• All the candidates have to get Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from GLS

University and along with the application form.

• Candidate from other university should be submit the migration certificate within

the one month after admission and get Final Eligibility Certificate (FEC) from GLS

University.

6) The method of determining the merit score.

The method for calculating merit for admission is given below :

• Admission Merit = percentage of total marks obtained in graduation and 20% of

marks obtained at post-graduation level.

• If T. Y. & Post Graduation subject is same then after only 20% marks of Post

Graduation will be count in calculation of merit. If subject is changed then

candidate can not get benefit of it.

• Total Percentage of Internal & External marks of T. Y. (accept credit marks of F.Y. &

S.Y.) will be count in calculating merit.

• Those student who has passed Graduation or Post Graduation through semester

system (CBCS) their aggregate marks will be count in calculating merit.

• Internal and External both total marks will be count for admission.

7) If the admission merit of two candidates is equal then preference will be given

in the following way :

• If percentage of T.Y. is equal then percentage of total marks of S.Y. will be

considered.

• If percentage of S.Y. is equal, then percentage of total marks of F.Y. will be

considered.

• It still two or more candidate have equal merit, then decision of admission

committee will considered as final.

8) General Rules & Regulation :

• Incomplete, wrongly filled or unclear forms will be cancelled and the candidate

him/her self will be responsible for the same.

• Self-attested copies of original certificate should be attach along with the form.

• Once admission has taken in one category then there is no right to take admission

in other category in any circumstances.

• The fees once paid will not be refunded in any case.

• Students have to give assurance letter that they will follow the rules of discipline of

the institute.

• Admission committee’s decision will be considered as final about interpretation of

rules of admission merit, subject - selection etc.

• Student have to pay the fees in cash at the admission time, otherwise admission

will be cancelled.

• The admitted student can write in exam in any of the following languages - Gujarati,

• Candidate should be right different code in column 3 according to annexure 1 to 5.

• Candidate should be right about degree, University and name of main subject as well as fill the marks of T. Y. and Post Graduation in column 4 and 5.

• Only Fresh candidate have to fill the column 6.

• In column 7 candidate should be right down PEC (Provisional Eligibility Certificate) receipt number.

• Candidate should be attach attested copies with the admission form...

(1) H.S.C., F.Y., S.Y., T.Y. and Post Graduation makr sheet.

(2) Caste Certificate and Non Creamylayer Certificate of Reserved Category candidate.

(3) Candidate from other University should be present PEC.

(4) Certificate of civil surgeon for handicapped candidate.

(5) At the time of admission form submission candidate should be present above all certificates for verification and recollect all original certificates at same time.
