Guidelines for using Yammer, issued by Group CIO

“Yammer is NOT a corporate tool. It is not

administered, and so the access is not

controlled. We have then to consider this space

as some kind of grey zone, between public

internet and intranet. But from a security point of

view, if it is grey, I am afraid it is black.”

Tom Barton, Capgemini, “Glue and sticking together”

Everyone has a story

In Yammer, rank is stripped away, and everyone can access

Ideas are free to roam. And true collaboration can flourish

Andy Mulholland, our Group CTO, said:

“So now I have a social networking tool, with real time micro-blogging and

current topic searching, and it’s all integrated with email as well as being a

Web Service. At last!”

Page 67: Glue and sticking together - a story by Capgemini on Yammer

From an end user

“I have been working for Capgemini for 32 years,

but I can honestly say that the last years have

done more for me in company-binding than the

years before. [Yammer] has made me part of a

global organisation that was never before

possible. And I have spent my time in global

teams before.”
