Comment: 2011 MONDEO 163TDCI"Hi, I recently purchased a 2011 Mondeo Tit X 163 tdci, and whilst was impressed with the motorway speed power was severely disappointed with the acceleration off the mark or around town. Serious flat spots at anything below 1500rpm, lag when changing gear all resulting in being pushed along by things such as astra 1.9 tdci's and bog standard passat 140's over short distances. However I recently obtained a Pro Blitz tuning system which took all of 5 minutes to fit using a 8mm socket. It is adjustable using a small screwdriver but without any adjustment a noticable performace increase was noticed. After an hour of driving and adjusting I reached peak performance (any more adjustment caused a flat spot) All this has resulted in a huge torque increase from 1000 rpm and throughout the rev range. 4th gear takes you from 40 - 90 in seconds and it is not shy of achieving in excess of 140mph or pushing the new Octavia VRS until you have to pass it. With all this in mind you may think you loose economy, wrong.... I used to get max 43-45 MPG, now i'm averaging 50-53 MPG as you dont need such a heavy right foot to achieve performance.. WOW!"I fitted the chip in around 10 minutes and I am no DIYer! The fuel improvement was phenominal, from averaging 39 mpg I am now getting 50mpg. I tow a caravan and once again fuel consumption went from around 24 mpg to 31 mpg and the difference the chip has made to power and torque made it feel like a different car. The car used to struggle to get up a hill where I live and I had to use 1st gear. It sails up that hill now in 2nd. comes to cars and engines but, with the help of the downloaded manual, had it fitted in about 30 minutes. I gingerly gunned the ignition and, (there being no bangs or explosions!) ventured out onto the open road. Engine management light extinguished after about 5 minutes and the difference was remarkable. Sluggish, tractor-like performance normally experienced whilst pulling out onto the local bypass had disappeared and it felt like a 'normal' car - no more lag at low rpm and acceleration response was excellent. I felt like I could even overtake something - probably a first in this practical but previously unexciting 4 x 4. SEAT IBIZA 1.2TDI"Fitted in about 10 minutes and engine started first time. Before fitting the unit the engine did not want to rev in lower gears and the power band was very thin meaning that we needed to change down for hills and fifth gear was not really useable below 50mph. With the unit fitted the engine feels very sweet and smooth and probably runs as VW designed it to run before it was strangled by emissions constraints. Before fitting the unit we were thinking of trading in the car as it was not pleasant to drive, now it's transformed and we will be keeping it. Comment: FORD KA 1.3 TDCI"It only took me 15 minutes to fit my tuning box, the instructions were very clear and had lots of engine pictures to help locate the correct plug. I then drove the car for around 30 minutes and set the box up with 4 turns anticlockwise to get the extra performance I wanted. I'm sure I could add a turn or two, but I'm happy with it as it is. For the money spent I'm very pleased with the result, the 1.3 TDCi engine is never going to produce big horsepower, but in the KA2 it makes a big difference, not only in performance, but also in smoothness. PEUGEOT 207 1.6 110 BHP HDI"I have just purchased and fitted a Pro- Bitz performance chip on my 57 plate Peugeot 207 1.6 HDI. Ordinarily my car would produce 110 BHP and reach 0-60 in about 11 secs. Since fitting the chip it would be easy to think whilst driving along there is no real change to performance. However when you accelerate there is little or no turbo lag, unlike before. The revs keep going right up beyond 5000 rpm to allow safe overtaking without the engine dying part way through. The power is at 130 BHP which has improved my cars performance. It feels more lively and for just under £100 it is good value. I would recommend fitting one to anyone with a diesel car. I'm in the earlier experiences, but i notice already improvement. My car has 85 000km and it's from March 2009 (Prime Edition) with manual gearbox. I tested it in a dyno last year and it gaves 480Nm of torque at 1800rpm and 209bhp at 4000rpm of max power. Nevertheless and i wanted to improve the response around 1600rpm to make it linear at low rpm. With the box i achieve that and i feel more power in the middle range of rpm. NISSAN X-TRAIL TDCI"I have just fitted this to my wife's 04 x-trail and what a difference!!! Comments like "It's like driving a sports car rather than a lorry" etc..abound, the car feels lighter to drive, has much more "low down" torque and is extremely responsive when overtaking etc....We can't wait to try it with the horse box and 2 horses. ITS GREAT..."OK. So we were off on a 2 week driving holiday to Italy 5 of us with luggage. The R Class may have it critics , but I challenge anyone who can find a more comfortable cruiser that eats up the miles in absolutely 5 star comfort. OK after 2,5 K miles we averaged 34.00 MPG for the entire journey it sometimes peaked up to 35 MPG + .cruising at 80 MPH gave approx 17-1800 RPM That is absolutely excellent for a permanent 4 wheel drive carrying 5 people with their luggage. KIA VENGA CRD ECO 3"I ordered the chip on ebay for my wife's Kia Venga 1.4 CRD Eco 3. I fitted a chip on my Kia Ceed CRD 1.6 SW 3 automatic over a year ago (from a different company) & have been very impressed with the increase in accelaration, power & (in particular) economy. I calculate an aproximate 20% increase in fuel economy in my Ceed since I fitted the chip. The car is much nicer to drive with a marked improvement in performance. I average 50 to 55 mpg (from about 40 mpg without the chip) which is quite good for an automatic! When my wife purchased her Kia Vengo 1.4 CRD Eco 3, she was keen to get a chip fitted. However, when I contacted the company that provided the chip for my Ceed they said that because of the Stop/Start technology of the Eco 3 a chip was not available I shopped around & had good communication with "Pro-Bitz" who informed me that they had a suitable chip available, which I immediately bought. The chip arrived a day later & I fitted it in about 2 minutes (Still dressed in my suit) as soon as I arrived home from work! To be fair I had already sneaked a look at where the pressure sensor was on the common rail of the Venga but fitting it really was a doddle ~ even for a complete novice! I did not make any manual adjustments to the chip & merely relied on the factory settings ~ which seem fine. I got my wife to take the car for a little spin & she noticed a considerable immediate improvement in performance. The Stop/Start works fine. There is an obvious improvement in fuel economy (she is getting 55 to 60 mpg) The exact improvement in economy is impossible to estimate until she has covered more miles, she is very pleased indeed so far"Jul 12 2011, 20:57 PMby chris

BMW 118D 2005 (122HP)"I was a bit sceptical about these devices at first, that was until I bought one from Pro-Bitz. I had a 2005 BMW 1 series 118D Sport which came with 122HP, 65K on the clock. After fitting the unit and tuning it up by 3 turns anti-clockwise on the adjuster my car could keep up with colleagues factory standard Audi A3 '170' sport! Timing from an M6 toll both to the big national speed limit signs (north bound) my speed wa 91mph identical to the A3 as extra proof! When cruising around 80mph you can easily achieve better MPG than standard and the engine pulls more smoothy from lower revs and seemed even smoother at higher revs! RANGE ROVER TD6 (L322)"Fitted the tuning box on Saturday but checked the trip computer before hand and averaging between 24 - 26mpg for mainly local & town driving with the occasional run-out.
