These laws are precise, and many of them These laws are precise, and many of them are mathematical in nature.are mathematical in nature.

The law of biogenesis states that life The law of biogenesis states that life always comes from life.always comes from life.

Life would not have been possible without Life would not have been possible without the laws of chemistry. God created the the laws of chemistry. God created the laws of chemistry in just the right way so laws of chemistry in just the right way so that life would be possible.that life would be possible.

Laws

The laws of planetary motion were discovered by Kepler who found a mathematical relationship between a planet’s distance from the sun and its orbital period.

The laws of physics, such as how light propagates, how energy is transported, how gravity operates, how mass moves through space and many other phenomena.

The laws of physics work because of the laws of mathematics.

The laws of nature are uniform throughout the cosmos.

Conclusion

We expect the universe to be organized in a logical, orderly fashion and to obey uniform laws because the universe was created by the power of God.

Is Evolution science?

Is evolution a science or a religion? Is evolution a science or a religion?

Evolution is the belief that all things have made Evolution is the belief that all things have made themselves by means of their own properties, with themselves by means of their own properties, with no supernatural input. Chaos has become cosmos, no supernatural input. Chaos has become cosmos, all by itself; particles have given rise to planets and all by itself; particles have given rise to planets and living things.living things.

The science that put men on the moon is all about the laws by which our world operates in the present.

Science relies on being able to measure or watch something happen, and being able to check these observations at any time by repeating them. This is called the ‘scientific method’.

Page 9: God and natural law . Laws The universe obeys certain rules – laws to which all things must adhere The universe obeys certain rules

Is Evolution science?

The scientific method could never apply to the idea of one species changing into another over millions of years, because it hasn’t been observed.

Equally, no one saw God create the universe.

Each belief system is a different way of explaining the same observations of the past, and must be held on faith, backed up by the weight of evidence. Creationists maintain theirs is the most reasonable and logical belief system.

Living things

Observed changes in living things appear to be heading in the wrong direction to support evolution from protozoon to human beings (macro-evolution).

Living things show a net loss of genetic information, not gain, (which would be necessary for the evolutionary process.)

Mutations (copying mistakes), are incapable of causing a functional increase in information.

Fossils

For evolution to be true, we would expect millions of transitional forms, but there is a definite lack of these. There is no evidence of a continuous incremental progression of fossils, from one species to the next.

Page 14: God and natural law . Laws The universe obeys certain rules – laws to which all things must adhere The universe obeys certain rules

Age of things

The evidence for a young earth (6,000 years old), is by definition, evidence for creation.

Evolution would require eons of years.

If the earth was millions of years old, then the salinity of the sea would have to be massively greater than it is today.

If the universe was millions of years old, then the layer moon dust would be so thick that the astronauts could never have landed.

Everyone who insists there is no God Everyone who insists there is no God relies upon evolution to explain nature relies upon evolution to explain nature without a designer.without a designer.

Evolutionary belief insists, “If nobody Evolutionary belief insists, “If nobody made us, nobody owns us, so there’s made us, nobody owns us, so there’s nobody to set the rules except us.”nobody to set the rules except us.”

Reasons to choose Reasons to choose GodGod

If evolution were true, the whole point If evolution were true, the whole point of the Gospel, (‘good news’) message of the Gospel, (‘good news’) message would be lost. It would mean that the would be lost. It would mean that the real Fall of Adam and the curse on real Fall of Adam and the curse on Creation would be a myth.Creation would be a myth.

The Bible tells us that there was no The Bible tells us that there was no death before the Fall.death before the Fall.

So how could animals live for millions of So how could animals live for millions of years before Adam and Eve came along, years before Adam and Eve came along, with no death?with no death?

God the miraculous

The death and suffering of this world is only a temporary intrusion.

One day this world will be restored (Acts 3:21) – not back to billions of years of death, cruelty and bloodshed, but to a sinless, deathless state, which is how it began.

Let’s give God credit for His miraculous power!
