Herzlich willkommen zur neuen Ausgabe des Son Gual Golf Magazins, in dem wir Sie ber Events, News und Turniere informieren, die Teil einer beraus erfolgreichen Saison sind. Unser Golfplatz bietet perfekte Bedingungen das ganze Jahr ber, ein Umstand, der sich nicht zuletzt in der steigenden Zahl der Mitglieder und der Events, die hier stattfinden, widerspiegelt. Immer mehr Golffans spielen auf dem besten Golf-platz Mallorcas; aus diesem Grund haben wir die Anzahl der Greenfees um 25 Prozent gesteigert. Viele der uns freundschaftlich verbundenen Unternehmen haben auch in dieser Saison wieder ihre Turniere, darunter die Rolex Golf Trophy oder die 1.Bogner Golf Trophy auf Son Gual veranstaltet und mit ihren Kunden herrli-che Golftage verlebt. Welcome to the latest edition of the Son Gual magazine in which we can look back over another very successful year.The course has once again been in magnifi-cent condition all year which has continued to draw in new members and many corporate golf days. Whats more, we have increased the number of green fees by more than 25% as word continues to spread about Mallorcas top golf course.Many of our corporate friends have returned to Son Gual with their events and we have hosted many excellent and enjoyable golf days including the Rolex Golf Trophy and Bogner Golf Trophy. We will also be welcoming back soon our friends from Porsche and Pinmar, who continue to choose Son Gual for their golf events. We thank you all. The Leading Golf Courses of Spain ist eine Qualitts- und Wertegemeinschaft, die vor zehn Jahren in sterreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz gegrndet wurde. Ziel der Gemeinschaft ist die regelmige Zertifi-zierung der exklusivsten Golfpltze Spaniens durch das Mystery-Testverfahren, mit dem anonym Anlagen und Service berprft wer-den. Die Clubs mssen dabei strenge Qualitts-standards einhalten. Die von The Leading Golf Courses of Spain ver-pflichteten Golfspieler mit einer Stammvorga-be bis -25 besuchen den jeweiligen Golfplatz und beantworten im Anschluss einen 100 Komplexe umfassenden Fragebogen, bei dem sie den Grad ihrer Zufriedenheit auf Fairways, Greens, Tees und den Driving-Ranges sowie zur Qualitt der Serviceleistungen, des Restau-rants und der Infrastruktur angeben.Die beiden mallorquinischen Golfpltze Son Gual und Alcanada sind die ersten Pltze, die in die noble Gemeinschaft aufgenommen wurden.

The Leading Golf Courses of Spain is an extension of the organisation that started up in Austria, Germany and Switzerland ten years ago. The aim is to bring together the best courses in Spain by periodically examining their facilities and services com-pletely anonymously. Using this system, which has been christened the Mystery method, clubs are subjected to a test which sets out extremely strict parameters.Players with a handicap below 25, hired by The Leading Golf Courses of Spain, visit the courses and assess them, and afterwards fill out a questionnaire comprised of 100 ques-tions which determine the level of satisfac-tion during their experience on the fairways, greens, tees and driving range, as well as evaluating the service received, the restau-rant and other facilities.Golf Son Gual and Golf Alcanada, both in Mallorca, are the founding members of this exclusive organisation.

Insgesamt haben wir zehn Pltze bewertet; nur zwei haben die hohen Anforderungen fr die Aufnahme in The Leading Golf Courses erfllt. Why was Mallorca chosen as a starting point?Without a doubt because of the large number of golf courses here, and the importance of this sport on the island. On arriving we made a list and we came to examine ten. In the end only two of them managed to pass the threshold we demand for becoming part of The Leading Golf Courses. One of them was Golf Son Gual, which is also one of the 100 best courses in Europe. How is Golf Son Gual different from other courses?In the Mystery Test, the excellent quality of the greens and tees was valued, as was the excellent service in the restaurant.How frequently will Son Gual be submitted to this test?Around nine times a year, and always anony-mously. I love it all!With regard to the course, what do you feel when you play on it? I never get bored; its always a great challenge, different every day.What are the benefits of being a member of Son Gual?The feeling of being part of the Pamer family, the relaxed encounters with other members and players, the professionalism of everybody here, the peace and quiet... And maybe, some day, seeing Gisi and Sabine repeat their hole-in-ones.What events, relationships, parties, tour-naments etc. do you enjoy with the other members?All the events organised by the Pamer family are tremendous fun; they are such a generous, professional, special family. A pesar de que juego una y otra vez en este campo, jams me aburro. De qu acciones se beneficia al ser miem-bro de Son Gual?Te sientes miembro de la familia de Son Gual. Todo es cmodo, tranquilo, profesional. Qu eventos, relaciones, fiestas, torneos, etc., disfruta con los otros miembros?Guardo maravillosos recuerdos del ao pasa-do, especialmente de la fiesta de Ao Nuevo. Espero con ilusin los prximos torneos del Aniversario de Son Gual y el Bavarian. En su opinin, Qu diferencia a Son Gual de otros campos? Ich spiele oft hier, aber ich langweile mich niemals. Welche Vorteile bringt Ihnen die Mitglied-schaft im Club Son Gual? Auf Son Gual fhlt man sich als Teil einer Familie. Alles ist komfortabel, ruhig und pro-fessionell. Man fhlt sich wirklich gemocht. Welche Events, Feste und Turniere besuchen Sie mit den anderen Mitgliedern? Ich erinnere mich gern an letztes Jahr, vor allem an die Sylvesterfeier. Und freue mich auf die nchsten Turniere das Turnier zum Son Gual-Jahrestag und das Bavarian. Was unterscheidet Ihrer Meinung nach Son Gual von anderen Golfcourts? Ich wrde sagen, die auergewhnliche Orga-nisation. Die beginnt schon, wenn man zur Tr hereinkommt: deine Tasche mit den Golfschl-gern steht bereit, whrend du dich noch mit dem liebenswrdigen Personal von der Rezep-tion unterhlst. Und dieses Serviceniveau wird den ganzen Tag gehalten. Der Golfclub liegt auf Mallorca, was halten Sie von der Insel? Nach Mallorca zu reisen, ist das ganze Jahr ber sehr einfach. Mir gefllt das Klima; hier kann man Golf spielen, an den Strand gehen, sich erho-len und auch viele andere Sportarten machen.

Why would you recommend becoming a member of Son Gual?Son Gual is a perfect combination of playing golf and hospitality, with a very family-like atmosphere.What do you like best of the whole facility?The fantastic clubhouse, from where you can see nearly the whole course as you are sit-ting down in comfortable armchairs having a refreshing drink of the best Spritz.With regard to the course, what do you feel when you play on it? In spite of the fact that I play on this course again and again, I never get bored. What are the benefits of being a member of Son Gual?You feel like a member of the Son Gual family. Everything is comfortable, peaceful, professional. What events, relationships, parties, tour-naments etc. do you enjoy with the other members?I have wonderful memories of last year, espe-cially the new years party. Necesitas a tu alrededor gente con la que te sientas a gusto trabajan-do, debes ser capaz de concentrarte en pilotar sin que los temas personales te afecten... Hay muchas cosas, algunas de ellas inapreciables, que exigen de ti y de cada persona de tu equi-po un gran nivel de concentracin y determi-nacin.Y qu es ms importante, el coche o el piloto?Para estar arriba, los dos. Si el coche es lento, ni el mejor piloto podra estar en el pdium. When did your passion for racing begin, and when did you really start to take it seriously?It was probably after seeing my first F1 race on TV, when I was five. I remember I put on my fathers helmet and ran round and round the sitting room trying to imitate Schumacher and Irvine. I always tried to take part in the races, but I have only been dedicated to it seri-ously since February of 2010. What do you need to become a great racing car driver?A little bit of everything. You need to have people around you who you feel comfort-able working with, you have to be capable of concentrating on driving without letting personal matters affect you... There are lots of things, some of which are imperceptible, that demand a high level of concentration and determination from you and from everyone in your team.

And what is more important, the car or the driver?Both, to get to the top. If the car is slow, not even the best driver could stand on the podi-um. And the same is true if the driver is poor - it doesnt matter how good the car is.How would you describe Formula 3?Without doubt it is one of the best ways of climbing up the ladder to Formula 1, and also a great opportunity for all drivers to learn essential aspects in order to become a suc-cessful driver. What do you need to get to Formula 1?Money is probably one of the most impor-tant things for getting there. Naturally, it isnt money alone that will get you up there, but it is almost impossible to do so without it. Was ist wichtiger, das Auto oder der Pilot?Um nach ganz oben zu kommen, beide. Wenn der Rennwagen zu langsam ist, kann auch der beste Pilot nicht aufs Siegerpodest steigen. Und wenn der Pilot schlecht ist, kann auch das beste Auto dies nicht wettmachen. Wie wrden Sie die Formel 3 beschreiben? Sie ist sicher eines der besten Sprungbretter fr die Formel 1. Und sie bietet allen Fahrern die Mglichkeit, das Wesentliche zu lernen, um eines Tages ein guter Pilot zu werden. Was braucht man, um in die Formel 1 zu kommen? Geld ist sicher ein sehr wichtiger Faktor, ohne Geld ist es fast unmglich, in die Formel 1 zu kommen. Aber mit Geld allein kommt man nicht nach oben. ZUBEREITUNG:Das Rinderfilet von beiden Seiten in der Pfanne goldbaun anbraten, dann mit frisch gemahlenem schwarzem Pfeffer und Mal-don-Salz wrzen und mit etwas Butter und Olivenl in eine feuerfeste Form in den vorgeheizten Backofen geben. Etwa 30 Minuten bei 160 Grad im Backofen garen (je nachdem, wie durchgebraten das Fleisch sein soll).

SAUCE BARNAISE:Die Butter auf kleiner Flamme zerlassen, etwas abkhlen lassen und und abseihen. Essig und Estragon in einen anderen Topf geben und um drei Viertel reduzieren las-sen. Vom Feuer nehmen und die 3 Eigelb unter stndigem Rhren dazugeben. Einige Tropfen warmes Wasser und den Zitronen-saft zufgen, weiterhin stndig rhren und ins Wasserbad geben, bis die Sauce fester wird. Langsam die Butter zugeben und mit Salz und Pfeffer abschmecken. Warm stellen.

ANRICHTEN:Das Fleisch in grozgige Stcke schnei-den und mit Gemse und neuen Kartoffeln servieren.

INGREDIENTS:900 g. beef tenderloin, Maldon salt, black pepper, olive oil. For the Barnaise sauce: 1/2 small glass tarragon vinegar, 200 g. butter, 3 egg yolks, the juice of half a lemon, 1 tea-spoonful of chopped fresh tarragon, a little parsley, salt and pepper.

METHOD:Brown the tenderloin all over on the griddle. Immediately place in a preheated oven dish and sprinkle with the freshly crushed pepper, a few pinches of Maldon salt, some butter and olive oil. Bake in the oven for around 30 min-utes at a temperature of approximately 160 C, the time will depend on how well-cooked we want our meat to be.

BARNAISE SAUCE:Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medi-um heat, leave to stand and then sieve to remove any impurities. Put the vinegar and the tarragon into another saucepan and allow to reduce by 75 percent. Remove from the heat and add the egg yolks, beat-ing constantly. Now add a few drops of hot water and lemon juice and, beating all the while, place over a bain-marie until the sauce thickens. Slowly incorporate the but-ter, season with salt and pepper and leave to stand in a warm place.

PRESENTATION:Cut the meat into generously-sized pieces and plate up accompanied by sauted vegetables and new potatoes.

INGREDIENTES:900 gr. solomillo de buey, sal maldon, pimien-ta negra, aceite de oliva. Para la salsa bearne-sa: 1/2 taza pequea de vinagre de estragn, 200 gr. de mantequilla, 3 yemas de huevo, zumo de medio limn, 1 cucharadita de est-ragn fresco picado, un poquito de perejil, sal y pimienta.

PREPARACIN:Dorar el solomillo en la plancha por todos los lados. Acto seguido ponerlo en la bandeja del horno precalentado y previamente espolvore-ado con la pimienta recin machacada, unos toques de sal maldon, un poco de mantequilla y aceite de oliva. A una temperatura moderada de unos 160 grados, tenerlo en el horno unos 30 minutos, dependiendo de cmo queramos el punto de la carne.

SALSA BEARNESA:En un cazo derretimos la mantequilla a fuego moderado, la dejamos reposar y la colamos para retirar posibles impurezas de la misma. En otro cazo incorporamos el vinagre junto con el estragn y lo dejamos reducir un 75 por ciento. Lo retiramos del fuego y aadimos las yemas batindolas sin descanso. Agregamos unas gotas de agua caliente y zumo de limn y, sin dejar de batir, la llevamos al bao mara hasta que espese. Aadimos la mantequilla lentamente, salpimentamos y dejamos reposar en un sitio templado.

PRESENTACIN:Cortar la carne en trozos generosos, y empla-tar acompaada de unas verduras salteadas y patatas nuevas.

COULANT DE CHOCOLATE MIT KOKOSEIS UND WALDBEERENCHOCOLATE COULANT WITH COCONUT ICE CREAM AND FOREST FRUITSCOULANT DE CHOCOLATE CON HELADO DE COCO Y FRUTAS DEL BOSQUEZUTATEN:Fr das Coulant: 100g dunkle Schokolade (70-80% Kakaoanteil), 100g Butter, 2 Eier, 40g Zucker, 40g Mehl, Puderzucker, Waldbee-ren. Fr das Kokoseis: 6 Eigelb, 25cl flssige Sahne, 50cl Milch, 75g geraspeltes Kokos, 210g Zucker.

ZUBEREITUNG DES COULANT:Die Eigelb vom Eiwei trennen und letztere zu Schnee schlagen. Die Butter im Wasserbad zerlassen, dann Schokolade hinzufgen und ebenfalls zerlassen. Die Eigelb mit dem Zucker verrhren, bis sie das doppelte Volumen haben. Das ausgesiebte Mehl zugeben und gut durch-mischen. Schlielich die zerlassene Schokolade und Butter sowie den Eischnee zufgen, die Masse in eingefettete, bemehlte Frmchen fllen und ins Gefrierfach stellen. 6 bis 7 Minuten vor dem Servieren die Frmchen aus dem Gefrier-fach nehmen und im auf 250 Grad vorgeheizten Backofen 7 Minuten auftauen. So ist das Coulant auen knusprig und innen geschmolzen.

ZUBEREITUNG DES EISES:Die Milch mit dem Kokos und der Hlfte des Zuckers zum Kochen bringen und 20 Minuten kcheln lassen, damit die Milch den Kokosges-chmack annimmt. Die Eigelb mit dem restli-chen Zucker zu einer weien Creme schlagen. Die Milch erneut zum Kochen bringen und unter stndigem Rhren ber die Eigelb-Zuc-ker-Creme gieen. Sobald sich die Zutaten ver-mengt haben, die Masse ins Wasserbad geben, bis sie fester wird. Vom Feuer nehmen und die Sahne zufgen. Im Khlschrank mehrere Stunden kalt stellen, bis die Masse eingedickt ist, dann ins Gefrierfach stellen.

INGREDIENTS:For the coulant: 100 g. chocolate 70% or 80% cocoa, 100 g. butter, 2 eggs, 40 g. sugar, 40 g. flour, icing sugar, forest fruits. For the coconut ice cream: 6 egg yolks, 25 cl. single cream, 50 cl. milk, 75 g. grated coconut, 210 g. sugar.

METHOD FOR THE COULANT:Separate the yolks from the egg whites and beat the latter until stiff. Melt the butter in a bain-marie, and when it is ready add the chocolate for the same purpose. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until they have doubled in volume. Then add the sifted flour and fold in. Add the melted butter and chocolate and repeat the process, and then incorporate the stiffly-beaten egg whites. Put the mixture into greased, floured crme caramel moulds and cool or freeze. When you are ready to serve the coulants, if frozen remove from the freezer 6-7 minutes beforehand and cook in an oven preheated to 250 C for 7 minutes. This way they will be cooked on the outside and melted in the middle.

METHOD FOR THE ICE CREAM:Bring the milk to the boil with the coconut and half the sugar, simmer for 20 minutes so that the milk absorbs the flavour of the coconut. Beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until you have a pale cream. Bring the milk to the boil again and pour over the egg yolk mixture, stir-ring with a whisk all the time. After binding the mixture, place in a bain-marie and stir constant-ly until it thickens. Remove from the heat and incorporate the cream. Cool in the refrigerator for several hours. Pour into an ice-cream maker until it sets and store in the freezer.

INGREDIENTES:Para el coulant: 100 gr. de chocolate pureza 70% o 80%, 100 gr. mantequilla, 2 huevos, 40 gr. de azcar, 40 gr. de harina, azcar glac, frutos del bosque. Para el helado de coco: 6 yemas de huevo, 25 cl. de nata lquida, 50 cl. de leche, 75 gr. de coco rallado, 210 gr. de azcar.

PREPARACIN DEL COULANT:Separamos las yemas de las claras y montamos estas a punto de nieve. Fundimos la mantequilla al bao mara, y cuando est lista aadimos el chocolate con el mismo propsito. Montamos las yemas con el azcar hasta duplicar su volumen. Luego aadimos la harina tamizada y mezcla-mos. Repetimos el proceso agregando el cho-colate y la mantequilla fundida, y despus las claras a punto de nieve. Ponemos la mezcla en flaneras engrasadas y enharinadas y las enfria-mos o congelamos. Cuando lo queremos servir, si est en el congelador lo sacamos 6-7 minutos antes, y lo metemos en el hormo precalentado a 250 grados, durante 7 minutos. De este modo, queda hecho por fuera y fundido por dentro.

PREPARACIN DEL HELADO:Llevar a ebullicin la leche con el coco y la mitad del azcar, dejar cocer 20 minutos para que la leche se pueda impregnar de sabor a coco. Batir las yemas con el azcar restante hasta obtener una crema blanca. Llevar de nuevo la leche a ebullicin y verter sobre las yemas moviendo constantemente. Una vez liga-da la mezcla, poner al bao mara sin dejar de remover hasta que espese. Apartar del fuego e incorporar la nata. Enfriar en la nevera durante varias horas. Meter en la sorbetera hasta cuajar y dejar en el congelador.

The water is fairly transparent, and bathing in the little funnel of sea surrounded by cliffs and pine trees is relaxing and lifts the spirits.

Das Sonnen und Baden im klaren Wasser ist dennoch ein Erlebnis, das man sich einmal im Leben gnnen sollte.

CALA TUENT Schon die Fahrt zur Bucht Tuent ist die mehr als einstndige Reise von Palma wert. Hinter Sller fhrt man an den Stauseen entlang, die mit atemberaubenden Ausblicken beeindru-cken. Nach den Tunneln gehts nach Escora und von dort die Serpentinen hinunter zu La Calobra. Die Cala Tuent ist eine Felsenbucht und daher ideal fr Tauchsport.

CALA DEIThe splendid cove where Robert Graves used to go bathing in the evening. Surrounded by wholly bucolic spots, Cala Dei is by no means comfortable, as the boulders on the shore are large and make it difficult to find the right position. But spending a few hours sunbath-ing and splashing around in its transparent waters is an experience everyone should enjoy at least once in their life.

CALA TUENT Just travelling to this cove from Palma is in itself a fabulous journey lasting over an hour, because after Sller you go along the reservoir route with its incomparable views and after passing through the tunnels, in Escorca, you thread down a road with bend after bend that takes you down to La Calobra. Cala Tuent is rocky and ideal for diving.

CALA DEILa esplndida cala en la que el poeta Robert Graves se daba sus baos al atardecer. Rodeada de parajes absolutamente buclicos, Cala Dei no resulta un lugar cmodo, pues las piedras de la orilla son grandes y cuesta encontrar la posicin.
