NOTIFICATION ARABIC TEACHERS’ EXAMINATION - NOVEMBER 2013
Sub:- Arabic Teachers’ Examination - November 2013 – reg. Ref:- 1) G.O. (MS) 216/11/GEdn dt 28/10/2011
2) G.O. (MS) 234/13/GEdn dt 19/08/2013 Government have introduced the New Scheme of Arabic Teachers’ Examination vide G.O.
(MS) 234/13/GEdn dt 19/08/2013. The New Scheme of Arabic Teachers’ Examination will be
conducted in November 2013. Examination in Old Scheme will also be conducted for private
Candidates as a last chance. The Centres are noted below.
1) .Government TTI, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram
2) Government TTI Kollam.
3) Government TTI Malappuram
For the Candidates who appear the examination in Old Scheme, the scheme and
syllabus will be same as in the previous years.
I. Eligibility for submitting application 1. Candidates appearing for this examination (New scheme) should have passed SSLC or
equivalent or HSE/equivalent examination with Arabic as a paper.
2. The minimum age for submitting application for the examination is 17 years.

II. Papers, Marks and Duration. The Papers, Maximum Marks and duration of Examination are as follows.

III. Basis of Pass
• The candidates who secure 40 marks out of 100 in each paper will be declared as
passed.
• Those who pass and secure an aggregate percentage of 60 marks and above in the
first appearance shall be placed in First class, aggregate percentage of 50 marks and

above but below 60 in the first appearance will be placed in Second class, and others
who pass will be placed in Third class.
IV. Question Pattern
• Out of 12 short answer Questions only ten to be answered
Each question carries 3 marks = 3x10 = 30
• Out of 12 paragraph Questions only ten to be answered
Each question carries 5 marks – 5x10 = 50
• Out of 4 Essay Questions only two to be answered : 10 x 2 = 20
Total (30+50+20) = 100
V. Other conditions for the Examination
1. No compartmental appearance is permitted for the first appearance. However
candidates (who have not secured pass marks in any papers) are permitted to reappear
in the failed papers.
2. All papers except paper one should be answered in Arabic Language and paper one
should be written either in the Mother tongue or in English.
. The head of school will be the chief superintendent for the conduct of the
examination, if not otherwise ordered.
3. Applications which are not in the prescribed form and which do not contain all
requisite particulars will be rejected. The Identification Certificate and admission
ticket of candidates should be in separate sheets of paper.
4. The fee for the examination for all papers will be Rs.50/- and fee for
each part (three papers) will be Rs.30/- (Rupees thirty only)
5. The fee for the examination should be remitted by chalan in any Government
Treasury of Kerala State under the head of account “0202-01-102-99
Examination fee.”
6. Fee for mark list and certificate will be Rs40/-(Rupees forty only) and it should be remitted in the Head of Account “0202-01-102-92 other receipts.”

7. Note:-Two recent passport size photographs should be affixed with each application. The photographs should be attested by a Gazetted Officer. Designation seal of attesting officer should not be affixed on the photograph of the candidate.
8. Last date of remittance of fee without fine is 10/10/2013
9. Last date for remittance of fee with a fine of Rs.10/- is.15/10/2013
10. The application and fee will not be accepted directly at the Office of the
Commissioner for Government Examinations.
11. Fee once remitted will not be refunded or adjusted towards the fee for a
subsequent examination.
12. Candidates should submit their application for the examination to the Chief
Superintendent of the concerned centre of examination on or before 15/10/2013
13 The Chief Superintendent of centre should submit all received applications to
The Secretary to the Commissioner for Government Examinations,
Thiruvananthapuram-12 by registered post so as to reach by 19/10/2013.
14. Candidates should write their name and address correctly in the application.
Name should be written in block letters and exactly similar to that of
the entries in the qualification certificate.
15. Application which does not confirm to the provisions in this notification or
which are found defective shall be summarily rejected without any notice.
16. The cover containing the application for the admission to the examination should
be superscribed as APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE ARABIC
TEACHERS’ EXAMINATION - NOVEMBER 2013.
17. Candidates should obtain their admission tickets from the Chief Superintendent of
the respective centre at least three days before the date of commencement of
Examination.
18. The Chief Superintendent will issue admission ticket to the candidate on proper
acknowledgement provided he/she is satisfied with the identity and qualification
of the candidate.

VII. Scrutiny and revaluation of answer scripts
A. Scrutiny of answer script
(i) Application for scrutiny of answer script given in the prescribed form attached with
this notification can be submitted to the Secretary, Commissioner for Government
Examinations, Pareekshabhavan, Poojappura, Tvpm - 12 within 15 days from the
date of receiving Mark list at the Centre. Belated applications will not be accepted.
Fee for scrutiny is Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) per paper and should be remitted by
chalan in the Head of Account
“0202-01-102-92 other receipts.”
(ii) Candidates apply for revaluation need not submit separate application for scrutiny.

B. Revaluation of answer script
(i) Candidate has to submit application in the prescribed form for revaluation of answer
scripts attached with this Notification. Fee for revaluation is Rs. 400/- (Rupees four
hundred only) per paper and should be remitted by chalan in the Head of Account
“0202-01-102-92 other receipts.” Application for revaluation should be submitted
within 15 days from the date of receiving Mark list at the Centre.
The amount once paid will by no means be refunded or adjusted for any
related matter
