NOTIFICATION

In the Recruitment Committee meeting held on 20.07.2012, the following candidates

have been provisionally selected for the post of Staff Nurse in the order of merit in their

respective categories based on the aggregate of the 50°/o of marks obtained in the Higher

Secondary examination or its equivalent and 50o/o of marks obtained in the B.Sc.(Nursing)

Degree or Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery I Psychiatric Nursing or its equivalent. A

deduction of 5°/o has been made for every additional attempt as per G.O.Ms.No.55 dated

27.07.2001 of Chief Secretariat (Health), Puducherry. In addition to this, 1.5 marks for every

completed year of seniority from the date of registration of the requisite technical qualification

in the Employment Exchange to the last date for receipt of duly filled in application has been

added subject to a maximum of 15 marks vide G.O.Ms.No.19 dated 27.03.2012 of the Chief

Secretariat (Health), Puducherry. Thus the qualifying marks has been calculated to the

maximum total marks of 115 (50+50+15). Selection is made of the persons possessing

knowledge of the regional language of Tamil , Malayalam or Telugu as the case may be

according to the availability of vacancies in different regions of the Union Territory of

Puducherry vide G.O.Ms.No 62 dated 04.10.2001 of the Chief Secretariat (Health),

Puducherry and availability of the eligible candidates for respective categories in the regions.

2. The candidates who are selected under the Meritorious Sports Person quota and

Physically Handicapped candidate shall be offered appointment to the post of Staff Nurse

subject to verification of his I her original Meritorious Sports Certificate, Meritorious Sports

Person Certificates issued by the Competent Sports Authority with the original certificates

awarded by the authorities of the related games I sports in the prescribed form and in respect

of the Physically Handicapped candidate, the Medical Certificate issued by the Competent

Medical Authority, Government of Puducherry, respectively.

3. Offer of appointment shall be issued subject to availability of vacancies and fulfilling

other conditions as per rules and regulations in force and production of original certificates in

support of their Educational, Technical qualifications, Nativity, Caste certificates and

Employment Registration card wherever applicable and Permanent Registration Certificate of

Nursing & Midwifery issued by any State Nursing Council in India.
