Lodged Josephine County Jail DETAILS: On Friday, June 5th, 2015, at approximately 6:08 PM, an unknown adult female was observed taking two life jackets, one infant and one youth sized, from a life jacket loaner station located at Baker Park. The unknown female, accompanied by a black and white dog, took the life jackets, got into a brown older pick-up truck and drove away. The above information was released to the public on the morning of Friday, June 12th, 2015. From the release of information to the media, an anonymous tip was received identifying Lily Gay as the suspect seen removing the life jackets from the loaner station at Baker Park. Based on the information, police responded to Gays home where they located the truck seen at the park. The investigation revealed Gay was still in possession of the two stolen life jackets. Both life jackets were recovered and Gay was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on listed the listed charge. The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety would like to thank the alert citizens who reported the theft, and who provided information as to the identity of the suspect.
