1-HOUR BANDSAW SEMINAR SUNDAY 12:00 PM SEMINARSSteve Der-Garabedian has run Black Walnut Studio, a fine furniture workshop in Mississauga, Ontario since 1990. While initially he was self-taught, Steve eventually completed formal training in his passion for woodworking with the masters at Rosewood Studio. While at Rosewood, Steve was bitten by the teaching bug and continues to do so through his own shop and others in and around the GTA. He teaches a hybrid style of woodworking where the initial work is completed with power tools and then refined with hand tools. Steve is a regular contributor to Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement Magazine and was recently featured on the cover of the June/July issue. Steve says the bandsaw is one of his favorite tools and finds many woodworkers under utilize this amazing machine. Attendees of this very interesting one hour seminar will discuss blade use and tune up of the machine as well as learn setup, ripping, re-sawing and the use of tapering jigs, wedge making jigs and making shop-sawn veneer.

Remi Moore has been extremely involved with CWI Machinery’s CNC program performing technical assistance and installations around North America. In this one hour seminar Remi will take the novice woodworker through a hands on experience at woodworking through CNC. Each registered attendee will learn basic software, tool path operations and will complete a small project on one of CWI’s new Prodigy series of CNC engravers.
