Dear Grange families,
Science Week 10th-14th May 2021
We are very excited that we are able to
finally celebrate Science Week from
Monday, 10th May to Friday, 14th May
2021. During our Science Week, every
child will have an opportunity to take
part in some exciting workshops and have the opportunity to contribute to our brand
new playground.
The workshops will focus on the importance of green infrastructure and the benefits of
our new playground. Each class will be planting fruit and vegetables. In our Science
Lessons, the whole school we will be focusing on air quality and the impact it can have
on the human body.
Did you know that we breath in invisible dirt?
Watch this space next week for all the exciting activities that our
children will be engaged in. Have a restful weekend!

Mercury & Venus Class
This week, Year 1 did lots of writing about
the Smartest Giant in Town. The children
drew story maps, made their own word
banks, answered some comprehension
questions about the story and retold the
story both orally and written into their
books. The children in used lots of skills in
their writing. Well done to Mercury & Venus
Class.
Neptune & Pluto Class
In Year 5, we have been working very hard
on completing our newspaper reports about
the Titanic's maiden voyage. We acted as
reporters and gathered information and
quotes to successfully include in our reports.
We also continued our work on life cycles,
looking at metamorphosis. In RE we carried
on our work around Judaism and thought
about the significance of symbols and
artefacts in the synagogue.
