l Pre-visits are available at all the attractions in this

brochure. This enables the teacher to make a judgementon the suitability of their chosen package.

l Risk assessments for most of the attractions are available

(some can be downloaded, please check on booking).

Teachers/responsible adults are welcome to visit theindividual attractions and carry out their own assessments.

l Adult/child ratios are available for Key Stage 1 groups

- this has been altered (in accordance with local LEA’s)to 1:6 (1 Adult free for every six children).

On-Board FacilitiesToilets are available on all of our ‘steamers’ and modern launches (check for disabledaccess). Many of our vessels have licensed bars and/or tea bars. So whilst enjoying themarvellous panoramic views, why not treat yourself to a tipple of your choice, or howabout a cup of warming soup to prepare you for your journey home?

Facilities for Wheelchair UsersWheelchair users are strongly advised to call to confirm which vessel is operating which service. Our ‘Steamers’ are suitable forwheelchair users but on-board toilet facilities can only be reached by means of stairs. However there are adapted toilets atLakeside, Bowness and Ambleside, and ‘Radar’ facilities close to Ambleside and Bowness piers. The main saloons are wheelchairaccessible on Teal and Swan but not on Tern (although there is ample covered accommodation).
