Stroget:Pedestrianized in 1962 as one of first efforts to trial street improvements in Copenhagen
Paris Plage:Pompidou Expressway converted in 2002 to a beach in the summer. Successful trial has been expanded and continued.
Barcelona:Ordinary street design uses creative, temporary materials to make them more pleasant.
Trafalgar Square:London converts former traffic artery in 2003 to an extremely popular pedestrian plaza.
