Day 1 ATHENS
TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transfer to Plakaneighbourhood.Arrival to Athens. At night we provide andevening transfer to PLAKA area. This neighbourhood is full ofsmall Greek taverns where you can enjoy the rich folklore of thiscountry.
Day 2 ATHENS
TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Athens. We arrive inAthens. We will enjoy a scenic visit of this modern city, whichincludes the Panathinaikos Stadium and the Royal Palace. Note:Occasionally, the tour of Athens may take place on Wednesdayright after arrival depending on how this stage develops and thesunlight.Free time during the day to walk around and discoverunforgettable places.
Day 3 ATHENS - CORINTH - NAFPLIO - OLYMPIA
We will depart for the Peloponnese region in the morning. Wewill stop at the CORINTH CANAL. Afterwards, we will arrive inEPIDAURUS enjoying the view of gorgeous landscapes. We willvisit the magnificent Ancient Theatre which is surrounded by aunique landscape. We will later journey to NAFPLIO, a town bythe Aegean Sea. We will visit its historic centre, its lovely marinaand its medieval castle. Lunch break and free time to strollaround. We will resume our journey to OLYMPIA at mid-afternoon. Dinner included.
Day 4 OLYMPIA - BARCO IGUMENITSA- BRINDISI
We will visit OLYMPIA archeological site with a local guide. Youwill have a chance to visit its museum and archeological site(guided tour, ticket to the park not included) which the cradle ofthe Olympic games in ancient times. We will get back on route toPATRAS, Greece’s third largest city. We will visit its active, livelycentre. Afterwards, we will travel to Northern Greece,AMFILOCHIA. Short stop in this quiet coastal town; ARTA, a cityin the Epirus region that has a Roman bridge. Arrival inIGOUMENITSA. Suppertime and boarding to cross the IonianSea. Night on board, overnight accommodation in double cabinswith private bathroom (we recommend bringing a handbag alongto spend the night on board. Breakfast on the boat Sundaymorning is not included).Note: Occasionally, due to weatherconditions, vessel inspection, strikes, fully booked ferryboats orother reasons, we are forced to fly from Athens to Rome, inwhich case the visits to Amfilochia and Arta are cancelled and aSunday visit to Naples and Pompeii is included.
Day 5 BARCO IGUMENITSA- BRINDISI - TRANI - NAPLES - ROME
Arrival in BRINDISI early in the morning. We will follow theAdriatic coastline in Southern Italy. We will visit TRANI, apicturesque little town by the sea, and its fishing port, its oldcathedral and its lively streets. Lunchtime. We will resume ourtrip to NAPLES, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Shortsightseeing tour in its historic centre before resuming our journeyto ROME.
Day 6 ROME
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum(admission price included) and visit to the Vatican City.In themorning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a greatintroduction to “The Eternal city”. We visit the tiny state of theVatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity inthe world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. And wehave also included admission to the Roman Coliseum, theprincipal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction datesback 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we canlearn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the eveningwe provide transport to the Via Cavour area, were you will findrestaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and internationalfood. Return to hotel.
Day 7 ROME - FLORENCE
TODAY’S HIGLIGHTS: Tour with a local expert from Florence.View from Piazzale Michelangelo. We will leave Rome,heading north. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes.Upon arrival in FLORENCE, we head straight to PiazzaleMichelangelo, an impressive site in the city. In the evening weprovide a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historiccentre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo,and Piazza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum.Free time to explore. In the evening, you can dine at yourfavourite restaurant. In this district you can find restaurantsserving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food.
Day 8 FLORENCE - VENICE
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Vaporetto boat on Venice’s GrandCanal. Visit and admission to the San Marcos Basilica, wherewe can admire the technique of crafting Murano Glass.Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossingthe Apennine Mountains. Arriving in VENICE, we will board aVapporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic centre.With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous Plaza de SanMarcos and enter the marvellous basilica (entry cost included).Afterwards, we shall be able to visit the Murano glass factorycity. It is marvellous to see the technique of crystal blowing. Freetime. At the end of the afternoon, you will have the chanceto eat dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose the typeof restaurant that you prefer (Indian, Oriental, Italian, etc.).
Day 9 VENICE
After breakfast, end of our services.

Day 1 ROME - LORETO - ANCONA-IGOUMENITSA FERRY
We will leave Rome early in the morning. We will cross theApennines amid the gorgeous landscapes of the Abruzzo region.LORETO, visit to the Basilica della Santa Casa (Basilica of theHoly House), the house of Virgin Mary, and its lovely medievaltown. Arrival in ANCONA. Quick tour of this town on the Adriaticshore. We will go on an early afternoon boat trip in the Adriaticand Ionian seas. Overnight ferryboat trip. Overnightaccommodation in double cabins with private bathroom (werecommend bringing a handbag along to spend the night onboard. Breakfast on the boat Tuesday morning is not included).
Day 2 ANCONA-IGOUMENITSA FERRY - IOANNINA - KALAMBACA
Arrival in Greece early in the morning (Igoumenitsa). NorthernGreece reminds us of the proximity of the Slav and Turk worlds.Arrival in IOANNINA, a historic walled city on the lake’s shore.We will go on a short boat trip to IOANNINA ISLAND located onthe lake. This tiny, quiet lake town holds several monasteries.We will continue to KALABAKA where we will arrive early in theafternoon. We will visit METEORA valley, a spectacular placeadded to UNESCO World Heritage List. We will have theopportunity to enter one of its famous monasteries. Dinnerincluded.
Day 3 KALAMBACA - DELPHI - ATHENS
We will travel south through the Thessaly region. We will arrivein DELPHI after enjoying the view of wonderful landscapes. Visitand lunch at the beautiful archeological complex looking over theGulf of Corinth offering amazing vistas. We will resume ourjourney to ATHENS. Arrival at mid-afternoon. We include nighttransportation to the PLÁKA quarter, a place full of Greektaverns where you will have a chance to enjoy this country’s richfolklore.
Day 4 ATHENS

Day 8 NAPLES - CAPRI - SORRENTO - SALERNO
Free time to stroll around NAPLES before boarding. Boat trip tothe ISLE OF CAPRI included. You may take a boat to the BlueGrotto or the cable car to Capri city. We will get on board againand continue to SORRENTO, a charming, tourist town at the footof a cliff. Free time to stroll around. We will continue to the Gulfof Salerno. Dinner included and sojourn in SALERNO.
Day 9 SALERNO - POMPEII - CASSINO - CASTELGANDOLFO -ROME
We will go to POMPEII, where you will have an opportunity toadmire the remains of this Roman city which was covered by theashes from Mount Vesuvius (guided tour; park ticket notincluded). We will continue to CASSINO after lunch where youwill visit its huge abbey where one of the cruelest World War IIbattles took place. We will visit CASTEL GANDOLFO on ourway back, a lovely medieval town located in a beautiful lake areawhich belongs to the VATICAN and serves as the Pope’ssummer residence. We will resume our trip to ROME. Lateafternoon arrival. End of our services.
