Clean Cities Mission To advance the energy, economic, and environmental security of the U.S. by supporting local decisions to reduce petroleum use in transportation.
• Sponsored by the DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Vehicle Technologies Office
• Established in 1993 in response to the Energy Policy Act (EPACT) 1992 • Companion program to the EPACT mandates requiring certain fleets to
acquire AFVs (Federal, State, and Fuel Provider Fleets) • Provides a framework for businesses and governments to work
together as a coalition to enhance markets• Major Emphasis: Deployment of alternative fuels and advanced
vehicle technologies (i.e. vehicles and fueling infrastructure)• Program Goal: Reduce U.S. petroleum use by 2.5 billion gallons per
year by 2020

• Greatest Increase in Biodiesel Fuel Use &• Top Overall Improvement in Petroleum Savings.

Northwestern Indiana Green Fleet Program
GOAL:Outreach/Education and Programs to reduce transportation related emissions and improve air quality and reduce barriers in the adoption of alternative fuels throughout Indiana!

Midwest DRIVES Initiative
Midwest DRIVES offers fleets opportunities to test a range of alternative fuel vehicles in day-to-dayoperations. The initiative includes:
• FREE demos of alternative fuel vehicles (including CNG, Propane, Hybrid, EV, Efficiency and Biofuel
vehicles in light, medium, and heavy-duty applications)• FREE data logging on demo vehicles provided by
FleetCarma (vehicle performance metrics to guide your decisions)
• FREE case studies & analysis comparing alternative fuel vehicles vs. conventional vehicle performance on your routes, with your drivers
• Technical support & resources from industry experts and experienced Clean Cities Coalition staff in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.

The Green Radio Network

The Green Radio Network promotes green projects across the United States and focuses on current topics for the environment. The intent of the program is to enhance overall understanding of green projects and programs while conversing about all of their potential benefits.
