Enjoy the blessing of Gods creaon as it blossoms and blooms. Many things happening towards the end of the year. Today is the final day of Achievement Test week. We have Green Park Sunday at Gethsemane this Sunday. Green Park Kindergarten welcome event on the 21st. Green Park relays for track on the 21st. Not even menoning all of the acvies in May. One major project that our capital campaign commiee has been working on is our campaign called Fulfilling His Vision. We began this campaign with the silentphase asking specific donors about contribung to this. Now that the silentphase is over, we are beginning the public phase. You should be hearing more and more about this capital campaign over the next six weeks. What is the Fulfilling His Vision campaign? Aached to this newsleer is a brochure that shares all of the details of what we are raising funds for and how you might be a part of this. The goal for the campaign is $200,000. What will this provide for the students of Green Park? One, we will be going to 1:1 devices for kindergarten through grade 8. Kindergarten through Grade 2 will have iPads for each student. Grades 3-8 will have chrome books for each student. We will use these devices for our new science curriculum that is heavily web based. We will use these devices for our wring curriculum that we started two years ago. We will use these devices for presentaons, research and e-textbooks. How will all of this be implemented? Part of the $200,000 is for training of teachers to best use these devices in the classroom. Part of the $200,000 will be to hire a part me Educaonal Technology person to help teachers implement this plan. Beyond these items, our playground surface that our students use every day for recess and PE classes is disintegrang and needs to be resurfaced. Part of the $200,000 will be for that. Then ulmately, we want to grow our enrollment and reach more families. Funds from the $200,000 will be set aside to be used for more unique and creave ways to get the word out about Green Park. How can you help us finish off this campaign and reach our goal? One, please pray for this that God would connue to bless us in this endeavor to provide tools to students to give them academic excellence. Two, pray to see what God might be asking you to do with this. Consider making a giſt. If you have any quesons, please dont hesitate to contact me at the school office. If you have a connection to a person or company that could help us out, please let Laura Reis know and she will be happy to work with you and/or them! We have a resale rack of gently used uniform items located in our teacher workroom. We accept uniform shirts, sweatshirts, and plaid skorts and jumpers. Some items may have a small purchase price and others are donated with love. If you have any quesons about our Uniform Dress Code, Fing Days, etc., please contact Mrs. Pfund in the school office. ART TEACHER NEEDED We are seeking a part me Art Teacher to connue the excellent program for grades 3-8 beginning fall 2018. PRINCIPAL’S CORNER I think spring has finally arrived now that we are seeing warmer weather. Enjoy the blessing of God’s creation as it blossoms and blooms. ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY OFFERING READING PROGRAMS THIS SUMMER St. Louis University offers reading skills and speed reading programs for children and adults. Classes are offered this summer in Arnold, Chesterfield, and Creve Coeur. Programs offered are for 4-year-olds and entering Kindergarteners, students entering 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-11th grade, and adults or entering 12th graders and college students. These popular summer classes are designed and taught by instructors from the Institute of Reading Development. SCRIP NEWS A Scrip Order is being delivered today, April 13. If you requested backpack delivery, please check your child’s backpack for your order. The last Scrip Order of the school year will be entered on Friday, May 4, with a delivery date of Friday, May 11. This order is always a nice one to use for purchasing end-of-the-school-year gifts. Please plan accordingly.

Please note, Dierbergs and Shop ‘n Save gift cards are available for purchase in the school office. The cards can be purchased in denominations of $25 or $100.

CHAPEL OFFERINGS TO BENEFIT FEED MY PEOPLE Our chapel offerings for the rest of the year will be going to Feed My People. Feed My People was started in 1982 as a way to help people in the South County area needing food. Today, Feed My People has over 25 programs, including a Thrift Store at each location as primarily a service to their clients, but also open to the public. This organization serves 16 different zip codes in the St. Louis area and helps over 80,000 people each year. Feed My People is supported by donations from individuals, schools, churches, businesses, foundations and community groups. Please help us support their service to our community!

PEACE LUTHERAN OFFERING SUMMER CAMP The Peace Early Childhood Department is again offering a Summer Camp for kids ages 5 - 12. Monday through Friday, from 6:00am-6:00pm. LUTHERAN SOUTH SPRING BAND CONCERTS Saturday, April 28, at 7:00pm is the Spring Jazz Band Concert featuring the high school Jazz Band. This popular concert will be held in the Kuhlmann Center at Lutheran South where the audience members are seated informally around tables. You are encouraged to bring refreshments.

Friday, May 4, at 7:30pm is the Spring Band Concert. This event features Lutheran South’s well-known Wind Symphony, as well as the Concert Band. Also included are the Junior Winds, a select band of the best Lutheran elementary school band members in the area. This concert will be held in the Concordia Center at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood.

LHSA GOLF SCRAMBLE—MONDAY, APRIL 30 On Monday, April 30, Lutheran South will host their 31st Annual LHSA Golf Scramble at Norwood Hills Country Club. This year's golf scramble will benefit the school's athletic program. Your day of golf includes lunch and a BBQ dinner, refreshments on the golf course, and games and contests with student-athletes.
