SCHOOL INFORMATION PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Next Monday we will be launching our parent café and we’d love to see you drop in for a tea, coffee or juice.

It will be held in the Cubby House at the front of the school first thing after morning assembly.

The idea of the café is that it will become a place to meet and chat with families at the school and also be a chance to hear about things happening at the school, how you can help your child at home and how we approach certain things at the school such as the teaching of different subject areas.

It will run for about an hour or so three times each term.

By developing closer connections with the school you get better results for your children and we get better results for our students on the whole.

We look forward to seeing you next week, so don’t go rushing out the gate, drop in and say hello.

Best of luck to Brayden Brook as he represents SSW at the NSW State Hockey Carnival at Lismore next week. Congratulations on this great achievement.

Our next P&C Meeting will be held on Wednesday 5th June in the staffroom at 9am. Come along and join in the planning of events for the students such as the upcoming disco. We need some more help-ers. At each meeting this year we will also be reminding our families that we are on the lookout for some new executive positions of the P&C to fill some upcoming vacancies. It is because of the P&C we have an air conditioned school. This has been achieved through fundraising and successfully applying for grants.

Next week, we will see the commencement of installation of our new shade shelter over the basketball court. This also is thanks to the work of the P&C.
