About Project:
Agro and Food Processing sector is one of the sunrise sector of economy and
Government of India’s major thrust area under “Make in India” initiative. State
Government is providing equal emphasis & thrust on this sector. Greentech Mega
Food Park has been sanctioned under Mega Food Park scheme of Ministry of Food
processing Industries GoI and is being set up at Roopangarh, District Ajmer. The Mega
Food Park has been designed on the demand-driven hub and spoke model with
provisions of strong backward and forward linkages that create a sustainable agro
horticultural value chain. The Central Processing Center (CPC) have the common
infrastructures such as Warehouses, Cold Storage, Deep Freezer, Individual Quick
Freezing (IQF) Plant, Cleaning, Sorting & Grading, Steam Generator, Captive Power
Plant and other enabling infrastructures viz. Road, Power, Effluent & Sewerage
Treatment Plant etc. It would also connect the CPC and PPCs with demand centers such
as tier 1 and tier 2 cities and export markets. The project received final approval on 19th
Feb 2014 from MoFPI having total project cost of Rs.114 Crore (Project cost revised to
Rs.120 Crore).
Mega Food Park will be the platform and nucleus for the setting up of at least
25-30 Food Processing Industries within the Park, which will bring about an
additional investment of approx. Rs. 400 crores. Overall the enterprise will
result in a cumulative investment of more than Rs. 500 Crores and Direct and
Indirect Employment generation of more than 17000 persons.
In addition to the above infrastructures at Central Processing Centre , there will be four
Primary Processing Centers at Dist. Jaipur, Tonk, Nagaur & Churu which will also
have common infrastructures viz. Warehouse, Cold Storage, Cleaning, Sorting &
Grading Line etc.
Projected Investment & Employment generation from the units in the Park :
It is expected that Park will have cumulative investment of more than Rs.500 Crore
through common infrastructures and the manufacturing units. Direct and indirect
employment generation of more than 17,000 persons is also expected. The units which

Visit Report
To review the progress and resolve the issues, Dr. Subodh Agarwal Principal Secretary
(MSME) visited the Park on 15/11/2017. Chairman of the Park Shri I C Agarwal, MD
Shri Varun Chaudhary and Shri L C Jain Additional Director were present during visit. A
Meeting with Senior Government Officers of concerned departments was held to
expedite the pending issues.
Physical Progress of the Park:
Most of the common infrastructure components are complete and some are at the
advanced completion stage. It was informed by the promoters of the park that all the
components except CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant) and CPP (Captive Power
Plant) will be completed by Nov, 17 and park will be ready for inauguration in the first
fortnight of December. It was also informed that out of the four Primary Processing
Centers the work at Jaipur has been completed and the others PPCs have achieved

Financial Progress of the Park:
Expenditure incurred upto now is Rs.84 Crore. The grant in aid of Rs.29 Crore has been
released by the MoFPI, out of total sanctioned grant of Rs.50 Crore.
Support by State Government
Land conversion from Agriculture to Industrial – 85.44 Acres of
agricultural land converted for Industrial purpose.
Approach/connecting Road linking the Food Park– Approx 1 Km link road
has been constructed by the Rajasthan Agriculture Marketing Board under Agri
promotion scheme.
Electrification– 33 Kva Bay from 132 Kva Substation has been laid.
Water Connection- Facilitated water connection.
Consent to operate from RSPCB- RSPCB granted consent to operate.
Issues under active consideration
Environmental Clearances - SPV have submitted the required technical
clarifications to the State Level Environmental Appraisal Committee recently. The
EC is under process.
Electricity Connections - The SPV deposited demand amount to DISCOM.
Compliance of electrical inspector is being submitted by the SPV. AVVNL has
been directed to expedite the matter.
Widening & improvement of Road - SPV requested to widen and improve
connecting PWD road. Forecast estimate has been prepared by the ACE PWD
Zone Ajmer and has been forwarded to the CE Roads. PS MSME had spoken to
PS PWD for expediting progress.
Supply of 0.5 MLD Bisalpur water to Park- PHED has prepared estimate of
Rs.4.64 Crore for 0.5 MLD Bisalpur water connection. SPV has requested to
waive capital sharing cost which is under consideration of PHED.
