Types of verbs 1.3 Notes Some verbs can exist as either action verbs or linking verbs: Appear, become, go, remain, turn, grow, look, stay, smell, taste, sound, seem, feel.Eg:+ This dish tastes very delicious. (linking verb)+ He tastes this dish. (action verb)

Some verbs can function as main verbs or helping verbs, but they only do one job at a time in a sentence : do, haveEg:+ We did our homework carefully. (action verb)+ We did prepare our homework carefully (auxiliary verb)

2. Forms of verbs Note: Modal verbs Modal verbs dont have five forms as many English verbs do. They just have corresponding Present and Past forms:
