Pathway Church offers a Children’s Program for ages 3-4th grade that meets every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month (today). The children are dismissed halfway through the service. There is a sign-in sheet on a table in the hall. We will continue with Wrangler Roundup next Sunday where we are finding Jesus in the stories of Moses and discovering the ultimate good things Jesus gives to God’s family. Building Committee Update: The planned "Walk the Property" has been postponed indefinitely due to weather conditions. We're going to try and do it as soon as it is feasible. Also, please remember to pray diligently for the Building Committee as they work on making decisions regarding select-ing a company to partner with us in this project. Ask for God's guidance in finding the company He has chosen for us in this endeavor.

Transformed: How God Changes Us: Sign UP TODAY for a small group. There are seven lessons. The series begins NEXT Sunday, January 31. The Goal: that all Pathway adult attendees would have a concentrated, focused small group experience with the rest of Pathway for this seven weeks.

Next week, we will continue with our Fall study, Journey with Jesus. Journey with Jesus takes children on an adventure as they travel with Jesus through the cities where His ministry came alive. Each week we will explore a new place where Jesus walked and lived and discover His attitudes and actions. December Donations: $36,661.25 vs. $20,000 budget Fiscal YTD Donations (July - Dec): $116,734.27 vs. $120,000 budget December Donations to the Building Fund: $42,630

Thank you for your generous year-end giving!

With the significant level of donations and expense management, Pathway is about break-even for the fiscal year to date. We praise the Lord for His faithfulness in what we know is an ambitious budgetary year.

Family Christmas Pictures Needed Advent pictures of Christmases gone by: We’d love to have your pictures of recent and past Christmases with your family. Please submit these to the office either in the box on the Information Table, or scan them into your computer and email them. Please note on the picture or attached to it, your name and the year. We received only ONE picture this week!

Advent Theme Begins NEXT Sunday This year’s advent theme is “Hometown Jesus.” We will be studying the places where Jesus was born and spent his youthful years. It is no accident that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, fled to Egypt, and was raised in Naz-areth. Let’s learn why. And know too that your place of birth and your life in Northwest Indiana is no accident as well. A sovereign God plans with a purpose in mind!

Welcome to all, but in particular, welcome to all guests! We encourage you to fill out the guest card on the back of this worship program and place in the wooden box on the table in the back of the auditorium. Today’s Easter message is “In Three, I’m Up!” These words were said by Jesus early in His public ministry. He repeated them later. The words were judged impossible by those who heard them. The words were used out of context at His trial to convict Him. They were flung at Him mockingly when He was on the cross. And they were the words the disciples came back to as fulfilled follow-ing the Resurrection. What are the words? “In three days, this body is rising up.” For Easter church 2016, let’s examine the promise, the misunderstanding, and the fulfillment of these words, and what these words promise for all Chris-tians.

Since I did not dive deeply into sin during Lent, in next Sunday’s, April 3, mes-sage, we will take a hard look at sin and saving faith. Warning, sin is not just a list of don’ts.

April 10 “Testimony” Series Begins In two weeks, the “Testimony” Series begins. It is entitled, “Puzzle Pieces: God’s Work in Brokenness.” Are you wondering who will share? I’m not telling! Come and see!

Pathway Signs The frost is out of the ground, so plant your Pathway sign again on weekends! Signs will “magically” begin to appear again at some street corners as well. If you need a new sign, take one. If you simply need new wire posts, take one from the back of the auditorium or trim your current wire post so it works again.

Pathway and Small Groups

Every January, I offer a series that coordinates small group materials and Sunday morning teaching themes. These groups meet 6-8 times. This is THE TIME for all Pathway adults to huddle up for small group discussions and emerging friendships. Michele and I have grown to know many adults deeply simply by joining a new group every year for these spiritual campaign spurts! Join a group! Grow deeper in your faith. Start and deepen friendships. Ask your spiritual questions in a non-judgmental, relational environment. No Bible knowledge required. Are you in? Sincerely, Pastor Joel

Church Signs: We are reaching that time of year that frost will prevent us from putting up and taking down our “Meet Me at Pathway” signs. If you can’t get it done right now, that’s okay. We’ll call off the sign policeman for awhile. (Some of you, including me, have received texts reminding us that our signs weren’t out!) However, hold onto your signs for spring!!! Please do not throw them away. We’ll hit it hard again when the frost is out of the ground.

Shelley Hernandez has a meeting with the oncologist to go over the entire stem cell transplant process. Monday, April 7, she begins injections to stimu-late the stem cells. April 11, they will collect her stem cells. April 18 is her surgery. Please pray that, for the next two weeks, she can enjoy her family, rest and stay healthy. Shelley came a few weeks ago to share her story with us. She is a missionary in the Dominican Republic, but back in the states for health care. She is an Illiana graduate and friend to many in this area.

Continue to pray for Mike Bultema as he suffers with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Pray for healing or that a kidney becomes available for trans-plant. Also, pray for Mike, Caroline, Gracie, and Rachel that they may experience the peace of Christ and a confidence in being His children.

Pray for the kids that attended the Campus Life spring break trip to Florida last week. Pray for them as they return back to normal school life and as they think about all they learned and experienced this past week.

Continue to pray for healing and a positive attitude for Ken Thompson from World Mission. He has been suffering with severe pain in his feet and as a result, he has decided to take a month off for his feet to heal before going back out “Trekking for Treasures.”

Pray for safe travels for many in our congregation who are traveling over the spring break.

Remember those in our congregation who are currently unemployed or underemployed. Pray that they will be able to find meaningful work. News and Notes
