JUSTICE WALKING J WALKING –For 11th & 12th Graders

Can you imagine walking in the footsteps of Jesus today? Where would you go? Who would you know? Can you imagine what would happen to you if you really tried to live the Gospel? J-Walking is a transformational small group

process for 11th and 12th Graders…a relationship-based journey that goes against the flow, takes unconventional paths, crosses social boundaries, and helps everyone involved to gain insightful perspectives. Join us, in October, for a six-month journey to help us be rooted and grounded in love. Check the bulletin for more information!

LIVING SOLIDARITY Government, the Federal Budget, and the Common Good (8 weeks)

September/October What kind of society do we wish to become? In this election year and always, it is crucial that we consider this question with our values, not our opinions, as we converse about the government, the economy, and the common good. The Gospel and social teaching remind us that we are responsible for ourselves and the good of others, and one of the ways we do this is through government. Being informed about and active in this is part of our responsibility as citizens and people of faith.

CROSSING BORDERS Migration, Theology, and the Human Journey

(8 weeks) Nov.-Dec.-Jan. Crossing Borders gives us the opportunity to consider the issue of and debate surrounding immigration, first and foremost, in light of human beings—our brothers and sisters in Christ—who are made in the image and likeness of God. The eight-week program will allow us to find common ground with one another and with those on the move as we better understand public policy and history of immigration, Catholic Social Teaching and scripture related to immigration, and the connection between Eucharist and the theology of migration, among others.

Check the bulletin for more information!
