Growing Plants Plant Sheet
These pumpkins grow to be about 1-2kg in weight! You can sow them between March and May inside in small pots of compost. Seedlings will appear in 7-21 days. When they have 5-6 leaves you should stand them outside for a few days before planting them in the soil 90cm apart. Your pumpkins will be ready to harvest between September and November.
These sunflower sprouting seeds are quick and easy to grow! You can sow them inside all year round. First you need to wash the seeds in cold water. Then leave them to soak for 8 hours. Place the seeds in a tray that has been layered with several damp paper towels. Ensure the towels remain moist at all times. To care for your seeds place them in a dark cupboard until they have begun to develop. Move them into the light if you want your sprouts to turn green. Harvest your sprouts when they are 2.5cm tall, which should be after 4-6 days.
These radishes are fast growing and have a mild flavour. You will be amazed by their unusual pink roots! You can sow them between February and September outside in a compost bed. Sow the seeds thinly in rows 20cm apart. Cover them lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Make sure you keep the soil moist. Your seedlings will appear7-14 days after planting.
These nasturtiums will be a delightfully colourful addition to your garden. They are easy to grow and loved by butterflies! You can sow them between April and June outside in a sunny compost bed. Sow the seeds 20cm apart. Then cover them with 1.5cm of soil. Make sure you weed around your seedlings often, but don’t pull up the nasturtiums by mistake! Your plants will flower between June and October. Remove any dead flowers to encourage the plants to flower again.
