Please ensure that you meet all application requirements before applying. LATE OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND INELIGIBLE APPLICANTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Scholarship Funds Funds for 2020-2021 academic year are $1600. Requirements Applicants must: - work all rehearsals and performances. Please see production calendar below. - Rehearsals are held at a location to be determined, beginning May 10. * - Performances will be Saturday, June 20 evening, Sunday, June 21 matinee, Saturday, June 27 evening, and Sunday, June 28 matinee at Zilkha Hall, Hobby Center, Houston. - A complete and detailed rehearsal schedule will be available at a later date. - either be a full-time student in a college or university in the Greater Houston area, or be a resident of the Greater Houston area attending college elsewhere (graduating high school seniors are eligible). - have at least two semesters remaining to complete before graduation from either undergraduate or graduate studies. - be a serious student of theatre/technical theatre, preferably with technical theatre experience. - understand that payments will be made directly to the school of study. Application Materials To apply, please provide: - the completed application form. - a personal letter telling us about yourself, and detailing any special circumstances and the amount of financial aid that you need and expect to receive from other sources during the 2020-2021 school year. - an OFFICIAL, sealed transcript that indicates a B average or above. - sealed letters of recommendation from at least two of your teachers/professors. - a resume of technical theatre experience, including awards. - a recent headshot (may be digital) and personal bio suitable for publicity purposes.
