Mrs. Marriott is the daughter of well-known Baptist pastor David Cummins and his wife Mary. She came to know the Lord as her savior at a young age and met her husband, Marty, at Maranatha Baptist

University where she majored in Secondary Education and minored in Speech.

After graduating and teaching in a Christian school for two years, the Lord led the Marriotts to plant Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Tennessee. In 2009, Dr. Marriott was installed as President of Maranatha Baptist University where the couple now resides. God has given them three children who also serve the Lord faithfully.
