Our Rwandan colleagues’ direction with their GEWS/Rwanda project (see Reference (a) above) is to meet with the one of “Information and Knowledge Age of the 21st Century” as constructing the so-called “Singapore of Africa”-- pls follow their model, which is also the same direction I indicated for the case of your Nigeria in my letter to H.E., Mrs. Omobola Johnson, Minister of Communications and Technology of Nigerian government, which was acknowledged by her hand-writing — see Reference (b) above.

Best, Tak

Prof. Tak,Great lessons indeed.

1) We are on the same page of Innovative-ability through motivation, creativity and inspirational service-transparency.

2) You are the leader of all the above.

3) Our responsibility is to ensure that as you make the fire that energizes the water to boil, we must continuously devise ways and means to consistently SUPPLY MORE WATER to the productive chain.

(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I below).

(2) Referring to your question in the Item (4), I would say that frank open dialogue among colleagues would foster consensus with right direction of our project as basing on trust among them, which is very

basic factor of PEACE — attaining peace is the ultimate goal of our GEWS/GUS projects, and my zeal of promoting email around the world was for this purpose, as mentioned elsewhere before.

(3) The very key factor of Steve Jobs’ success at his Apple was that he energized creativity of his talented people, as many of his obituaries say — in a sense, he might be depicted as the man on right-hand side in the following picture;

< http://tiny.cc/c6ezx>

Compared with the totalitarian dictator in command-control society (e.g., Confucianism Chinese and Japanese societies) on the left side in this picture, the man on right-hand side is like a fire to boil water — as he energize more, water (or his talented workers) in a pan above him would be heated to jump around with more creative ideas!!

As Steve Jobs’ now famous commemoration speech at Stanford University said, such creativity comes out only when he/she believe in by heart what they are doing as a great thing to do.

As said in my previous msgs, our GEWS/GUS projects are to bring such environment in various countries around the world as many as possible.

(4) Referring to your Item (6), I wholeheartedly agree with your saying "WHAT THE PEOPLE  (Client) WANT - MEASURED ALONG WITH WHAT WE PERCEIVE."

This is why I always stress the following sequential steps for our projects;

(a) Facts-finding and assessment trip by GLOSAS/USA staffs to targeted country, which will help the  selection of experts to invite to the following workshop,(b) Planning workshop for, say, 5 days, during which time task force teams would be formed who would then construct their comprehensive project proposals for their subsequent activities, which combined form would then be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Japanese Embassy for their ODA fund.(c) Visiting higher educational and healthcare institutions for the preparation of the above mentioned comprehensive project proposals.

Namely, these are to assure that the GEWS project is OF their own BY their autonomous conduct FOR their own benefit, which are the basic principle of democracy.

Best, Tak

Dear Prof. Tak,

Thank you very much for your very inspirational and moving mail and instructive foresight message. They are both well understood.

1. True to type, you are very right with HUMILITY - it is noted sir. The conflict of the humble and simultaneously passionate mind is the African adage that "Many Roads Lead to a Market"! This is typically true with your analogy on the sheer arrogance of the 'Sony Engineer' and 'Steve Jobs -Apple'

2. Prof. the little and embedded fact is that "Not One Road, but many ROADS to realising and achieving the laudable objective/s, goals and future of GEWS - flavoured by Humility.

3. As one Road leads to the order, our objective become richer and our goals more achievable.

4. I humbly acknowledge the instructive message. My concern is, how consistent is our strategy to deliver our collective vision with constructive sincerity?

5. My Condolence to the Norio Ohga family - as the Sony brand lives on. Technology is sometimes - both a game and an Art with fascinating moves that lead to success and/or failure. Lessons learned keep us all moving, dreaming and hoping. that is the fun and satisfaction - all in one.

6. As we look forward to the Atlanta meeting, I plead that we listen to "WHAT THE PEOPLE  (Client) WANT - MEASURED ALONG WITH WHAT WE PERCEIVE". Our concept of GEWS may not be a one suit fits all, therefore there may be - and indeed there is - need for adjustment - here and there to achieve our ultimate goal.

Best Regards,Chris.
