01. Delete an email account on Android mobile devices
• To remove an email account for the Android native mail app:
o Tap Settings
o Choose Accounts
o Select the account (as per Figure 1) and then tap on Remove Account as per Figure 2
below

• To remove an email account for the “Outlook for iOS and Android” mail app on Android
mobile devices:
o Open the “Outlook for iOS and Android” mail app
o Tap on the Exchange Menu (icon) situated on the top left-hand side as per Figure 3.

o Select settings from the bottom left-hand side. See Figure 4.

• To double check that the deletion took place, tap Settings on the mobile device
• Choose Accounts
• Ensure that the Outlook account is no longer visible. If the account is visible, a setting
resembling Figure 6 should be shown. If that is the case, select the account and then click on
Remove Account as per Figure 7. It is imperative that the mobile device is rebooted after.

02. Create an email account on Android mobile devices using native mail app
• Select the native mail app
• Select “Add an email address” as per Figure 8

• Choose “Exchange and Office 365” as per Figure 9.

• Multi-factor authentication (MFA) would then be mandatory if the sign in was successful. In
this case, the SMS feature is being used. See Figure 12. It is imperative that the user has
enrolled to MFA, otherwise he/she will be forbidden access as per Figure 13.

03. Create an email account on Android mobile devices using the “Outlook for iOS and Android” mail app.
• Tap the Outlook app
• Enter the email address and click on Continue as per Figure 15.

• Enter the password and click on Sign In. See Figure 11.
• If the sign in is successful, multi-factor authentication (MFA) would then be mandatory. E.g.

04. Delete an email account on iOS mobile devices.
• Removing an account for the iOS native mail app:
o Open the Settings from the Home screen o Tap on Password & Accounts o Tap the email account to be deleted and then tap on “Delete Account” at the
bottom of the screen as per Figure 17

05. Create an email account on iOS mobile devices using the native mail app
• Open the Settings from the Home screen • Tap on Password & Accounts • Tap on Add Account • Select Microsoft Exchange.

• Click on Sign In when the prompt “Sign in to your e.g. @gov.mt.onmicrosoft.com Exchange
account using Microsoft?” is displayed. The domain in the prompt will vary according to the
user’s email address. See Figure 24.
