Roman numerals, a lower case implies a minor chordI = Major 1st, C Majorvi = minor 6th, A minor

Because I IV V’s are incredibly handy to know!

Guitar By The Glass is my group approach to learning the guitar. I created this book for my weekly session, but anyone is free to print it out and use it.

Make sure you have: 1. A nice clean secluded place to sit down 2. A tuned guitar 3. This resource book on a music stand in front of you 4. The youtube / podcast playing through a stereo so you can jam along 5. A glass of something to sip

Like a [G]baby still [D]born Like a [G]beast with his [C]hornI have [G]torn every[D]one Who reached out for [G]me[Gsus4 G]

But I [G]swear by this [D]songAnd by [G]all that I have done [C]wrong[G]I will make it [D]all up to [G]thee [Gsus4 G]

[C /]I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden [G /]crutch[Am /]He said to me, “You must not ask for [G /]so much”[C /]And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened [G /]door[Am /]She cried to me“Hey, why not ask for [D]more?” [Dsus4 D]

Faraway Eyes by The Rolling Stones (3)INTRO [D / | G A D /][G]I was driving home [A]Early Sunday morning through [D]Bakersfield[D]Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station[G]And the preacher said[A]"You know you always have the Lord by your [D /]side"Well, I was so [G]pleased to be informed of this [A]That I ran twenty red lights in his honor [D G]Thank you [D]Jesus, [A]thank you [D /]Lord

[G]I had an arrangement to meet a girl[A]but I was kind of late [D]And I thought - by the time I got [D]there She'd be off, she’d be [G]off with the nearest truck driver She could find [A D][D]Much to my surprise, there she was [G]sittin in the corner[A]A little bleary, [D]worse for wear and tear [G]Was a [D]girl with [A]far away eyes [D /]

So if you're [G]down on your [A]luckAnd you [D]can't harmon[G]izeFind a [D]girl with [A]far away [D /]eyes And if you're [G]downright dis[A]gustedAnd [D]life ain't worth a [G]dimeGet a [D]girl with [A]far away [D /]eyes

SOLO [G A D G | D A D /]

[G]Well the preacher kept right on [A]saying that All I had to do was send [D]ten dollars to the Church of the [D]Sacred Bleeding Heart of Jesus[G]Located somewhere in Los [A]Angeles CaliforniaAnd next [D]week they'd say my prayer on the radio[D]And all my dreams would come true[G]So I did, [A]the next week, [D]I got a prayer [G]With a [D]girl, well [A]you know what kind of eyes she got[D /]

So if you're [G]down on your [A]luckI know you [D]all sympa[G]thizeGet a [D]girl with [A]far away [D /]eyes And if you're [G]downright dis[A]gustedAnd [D]life ain't worth a [G]dimeGet a [D]girl with [A]far away [D /]eyesSo if you’re [G]down on your [A]luckI know you [D]all sympa[G]thizeGet a [D]girl with [A]far away [G]eyes [D* A* D]
