GWRRA CA1A
The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world's largest single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world's largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.
Founded in 1977, GWRRA has grown to more than 80,000 U.S., Canadian and international members in 53 foreign countries in just 32 years. Over 800 active Chapters are managed by 4,000 volunteer leaders working with members to foster safe, enjoyable riding while also working to improve the public image of motorcycling.

Birthdays & Anniversary 7
This age of Coronavirus just doesn’t seem to have an end. It would sure be nice to hold a gathering, a dinner, and some rides, but it appears we won’t have an opportunity to do that any time soon.
There was one uplifting event during December though. During our December Zoom gathering, Jan and I were pleased to announce that Kathy won the chapter participation award which earned her a cool $100.00 dollar bill. I’m guessing she could find a use for it at this time of year. Jan and I consider the money well spent and plan to hold the contest again during 2021.
Now that 2021 has arrived, we can say good riddance to 2020. I don’t remember being so happy to put a year behind us, even though I suspect the beginning of 2021 will look much the same as the end of last year. Hopefully, the COVID-19 infection rates will slow down soon and allow us to get together again. It would certainly be nice to have a real chapter gathering, hold a chapter rally and attend some other rallies.
I suppose the down time will give us a chance to give the bikes a thorough inspection and perform some maintenance so we can be ready to do some riding when the opportunity comes. This would also be a good time to check for any expired items in your first aid kit.
See you out on the road...ride often but ride safe!

Each Day Brings a Chance to Do Better
How often we wish for another chance to make a fresh beginning, A chance to blot out our mistakes and change failure into winning- And it does not take a special time to make a brand new start, It only takes a deep desire to try with all our heart. To live a little better and to always be forgiving. And to add a little "sunshine" to the world in which we're living. So never give up in despair and think that you are through, for there's always a tomorrow and a chance to start anew. By Helen Steiner Rice Cheers to a New Year may the new year bring much love and happiness

The year of 2020 has come and gone. Hopefully the CV-19 will be gone soon. There is no planned motorcycle rides for the near future. CV-19 is filling up all hospital beds, so we don't want to be on the road with no place to get medical help if necessary.
We are planning to put some rides together after CV-19, with overnight rides, researching places to stay and places to eat for all of us. We live near 3 counties, so we can watch and listen to what the health departments are doing in these counties, so when the weather and CV-19 lets us ride we will have good rides again. Remember we are family. If you get sick we all feel it. And if by chance we pass the virus to you we will be double sick. So for now we will remain a part until this CV-19 is over.

Recipe of the Month
Cinnamon Apple Chips
INGREDIENTS
4 cored and sliced McIntosh apples (1/8 to 1/4 inch thick)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon granulated sugar (can be omitted)
Cooking spray
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon and/or sugar.
3. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or line one with parchment paper; then line the apples flat on the pan. (You may need to use two pans so that they are not overlapping).
4. Bake 2-3 hours until the chips are dry yet still a bit soft. Allow to cool completely before placing them in an air tight container for up to 4 days (if they last that long!).
NOTES
*Depending on the thickness of your slices, these apple chips will be on the softer side .

Mike Ridgway
Hello “Gold Wing” riders. My name is Mike from Chapter “Q”, and I am here to help if I can. During our trip to “Wing Ding” in Montana two of our Wings broke down. It cost one rider approx. $1900.00 the other about $2100.00 to get home. This really bothers me to no end! I went out and purchase a “Motorcycle / Trike” tow unit for my pickup truck. Now I am retired, so I have all the time in the world! I would like to offer to any “Winger” that breaks down and after using all of their “AAA” towing benefit’s and any other tow services and they still are not home, CALL me and I will go get them FREE, just pay for my gasoline and buy me a hamburger. THANX Mike.
