What is Haiku?A Japanese form of poetry which has three lines that are seven, five, and seven syllables consecutively. Haiku does not rhyme.
Haiku's Two Requirements:•kigo - a seasonal reference•kireji - a verbal caesura:
• an interrupted word (i.e.gath'ring) • an interrupted thought (often shown by a dash or an ellipsis)

What is Waka?Waka is a genre of classical Japanese verse. It was originally used to separate real, Japanese poetry from poetry written in Chinese by Japanese authors. Tanka,Choka, and Sedoka are all sub-genres under Waka.
Tanka •It is the only lasting form of Waka•It has five lines which contain 5-7-5-7-7 syllables
What are they to me, Silver, or gold, or jewels? How could they ever Equal the greater treasure That is a child? They can not -Okura
DreamingWhite...an empty gaze
Dreaming about better daysBoth past and to come
Days filled with laughter and life-That will always burn out bright

What is Renga?Renga uses the same pattern and guidelines as Tanka, but Renga is co-authored. One writer pens the first three lines and another pens the last two.
KnowledgeWhen light is dawning
When a new seed is planted-The birth of knowledge.
A loss too great to conceive.The hope has faded away.
