Half Subtractor

Description

Theory:

Half Subtractor is a combinational circuit that performs subtraction of two bits and has two inputs and two outputs.The two inputs denoted by A and B represents minuend and subtrahend. The two outputs are the difference “D” andthe borrow bit “B”. The borrow output specifies that a 1 must be borrowed from the next significant bit as theminuend is smaller than the subtrahend. The truth table is as shown below:

Procedure:

1. Connect the circuit as shown.

2. Set bit stream of 0011 for DigiSource0 and 01 for DigiSource1. Repeat all bits and have Bit period as 1ns

3. Run with default settings and click on analyzer to view the results

Conclusion

Verify the truth table for the inputs and outputs from the logic plot that you have got.

AimThe aim is to build a half Subtractor circuit and verifythe output with the truth table.
