Hamilton Elementary School 2015-16 Seminole County Public Schools Over 41% of faculty/staff hold advanced degrees. Our full-time teachers and administrators have an average of over 8 years of experience. Some even offer before school care. Extended day enrichment programs are also offered such as karate, golf, cheerleading, basketball, dance, etc. Pre-Kindergarten programs offer both full-day and half-day programs. The VPK program is aligned to the 2011 Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards for four-year-olds and provides 540 hours of instruction during the school year or 300 hours during the summer. School colors: Purple and Silver Mascot: Innovators Received a school grade of “C”. School Quick Facts As a result of statutory changes, the school grade calculation process was revised during the 2014-2015 school year. Additionally, in 2014-2015 student learning gains were not calculated because it was the first administration of the Florida Standards Assessments (FSAs). Although school grades were reported in 2014- 2015, due to lack of inclusion of student learning gains, the grades are not comparable to school grades reported for 2015-2016. School grades reported for 2015-2016 are considered to be baseline information for the new school grade calculation process. A Premier & Nationally Recognized District Ranked 1st in English Language Arts (ELA), Math and Science in Central Florida Ranked 1st in English/Language Arts (ELA), Math and Science in the 17 Largest Districts ePathways Seminole County Public Schools is implementing ePathways to develop customized learning environments that meet the unique needs of each student. ePathways reflects our school district’s commitment that graduates of our PreK-12 system will be ready for the challenges that await them in our dynamic economy.

Hamilton Elementary believes in developing creative thinkers, connecting students’

individual interests and talents, and having fun. Our learners engage in challenges which are

designed to build core knowledge and develop 21st century skills. Our magnet focus areas

are engineering, technology and robotics. The integration of cutting edge technology

encourages appropriate risk taking and captures students’ imaginations to create deep

thinkers. Acceleration of students is a practice we embrace to offer a wide range of advanced

classwork while helping children discover the joy, excitement, and mystery of learning.
