Installation:1. MounttheGRPholderinapositionsothatareleasedlifebuoywilleasilyfallintothewater.

2. Followtheinstructionsforthemountingboltsaccordingtothepictures.MakesurethatyoumountdoublewashersbetweenframeorbulkheadandtheGRPholder.

3. MounttheconnectorboxnearbytheGRPholder.MakesurethatthecablefromtheERUwillreachtheconnectorbox.

4. InstallthescreenedcablefromtheconnectorboxtotheReleaseSwitch.

5. MounttheReleaseSwitchinapositionsoitiseasytolocateandmanageit.TheReleaseSwitchshallbemountedinsidethewheel-houseorbridge.

6. Connect24Vemergencypower to theReleaseSwitch.Seeattachedconnectiondrawing.Test theelectricalinstallationaccordingtoinstructionondrawing.

7. TheERUispre-installed.TheERUmustbemarkedwithitsexpirydate2yearsfrominstallationonboard.Followtheenclosedmarkinginstruction.Ahydrostaticreleaseunit,whichisnotproperlymarkedwithitsdateofexpiry,isnotapproved.

8. Puta lifebuoy into theGRPholder,butonly2/3 into theholderandthensecure itwithacordorbyhand.Usethesuppliedthinwhitepilot linetopull thereleasecordthroughtheH20ERUunit.Makesurethatthelifebuoylineisnotontheoutwardsideofthereleasecord!

9. PullupthereleasecordthroughtheERUholewiththepilotline.Secureitwiththemanualsafetypin.

10.Connectthepower.

11.ThesafetylidontheReleaseSwitchcanbesecuredwithsomekindofeasy-to-breakseal,inordertoavoidunintentionaluseofthesystem.

12.Thesystemisnowreadytobeused.TheERUshallbechangedaftertwoyearsofservice.

TESTING THE INSTALLATIO

m glass tube fuse to the ERU RELEASE SW

output instead of the pos. 1 ERU unit. The fuse blows off w

hen the ERU RELEASE SW

is correctly installed.
