The Centre of Excellence (COE) is a state of the art project of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) that aims to provide competence based training programmes that are in line with the needs of changing business environments and global trends. Emerging technologies have radically transformed the way businesses are run. These transformations, however, are not mere disruptions for the professionals, rather empower them to excel and deliver value. ICAP, in response to the changing environment, responded by establishing a Digital Assurance and Accounting Board (the Board) in 2018. One of the functions of the Board is to create and disseminate necessary technical knowledge that augments changing demand for professionals such that they become technologically grounded and analytically sound. Under the guidance of the board, a comprehensive course on “Data Analytics” has been developed and is being rolled out through the ICAP’s Centre of Excellence. COURSE MODULES

Course is designed for ICAP affiliates, chartered accountants, executive management and other professionals seeking to enhance their competences in data analytics.

It is exclusively designed with our technical partner Saylani Mass IT Training program for professionals intending to use data for finance, audit and other business decisions. The course will enhance and strengthen the commercial acumen, technological knowledge and analytical skills. The course will also enable participants to anticipate, optimize business results, make meaningful analysis and add value to the ways in which businesses decisions are made. The emphasis of the course contents lies on forecasting, time series analysis, and econometrics to facilitate prediction of potential results on the basis of historical patterns. Notes for Participation:

1. Seat will be allocated on first-come-first-serve basis. Sessions in Lahore and Islamabad will be remotely conducted with ICAP Karachi.

2. Participants will be required to have their own laptops, with MS Office 365 or 2016 or 2019 and Power BI desktop installed. For Mac laptops, the participants will also be required to pre-install MicrosoftWindows Virtual Machine. The participant’s laptops shall have admin rights to install Anaconda.
