Make the perfect crackling. 1. Score the skin 2. Pat the skin dry. 3. Rub the skin with salt and oil before cooking. 4. Cooking temperature 2400c/fan 2200c.

How to make your own gravy Once you’ve removed your meat from the roasting tin, put the tin on the hob on a medium heat. Stir in 30g of flour to the meat juices and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add 1 pint of stock and make sure you stir in all of the meat juices from the tin for the best flavours. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Season to taste if required. Pour your gravy through a sieve ready for serving. For extra flavour add some finely chopped vegetables as you add the stock, onions are perfect.

1. Easter egg huntUse real or chocolate eggs. Make sure you keep track of where you’re hiding the eggs. Great to do outside if it's a nice day.
