May 2013 - bid process commenced to secure a private school in Docklands

Subject site is located in Digital Harbour precinct (2,050m2)

Mandatory bid requirement that the school includes a primary component (preparatory to yr 6)

School can be developed as a stand alone project or as part of a larger mixed use development

An innovative vertical school model is sought in place of a traditional campus style approach to maximise the site opportunity

Construction must commence by late 2014

Timeframe

• bids must be received by 3pm Friday 14 June 2013

• preferred bidder(s) selected mid / late July 2013

• successful developer selected mid / late 2013

• construction to commence by November 2014

Bids will be assessed against a range of criteria by teams selected from Places Victoria and the City of Melbourne.
