Have sth done … Konstrukcji have sth done używamy głównie w sytuacjach, kiedy ktoś wykonuje dla nas jakaś czynność (zazwyczaj za pieniądze). Może to wynikać z braku naszych kompetencji, wykształcenia lub umiejętności. W takich sytuacjach najczęściej zatrudniamy, lub prosimy kogoś o wykonane danego zadania za nas. I właśnie do wyrażania takich sytuacji będziemy używać tej konstrukcji.

He will have his car repaired on Friday. She can’t come now. She is having her hair dyed. I must have my mother-in-law murdered. They had their house redecorated. Pam has her house cleaned once a week.

Pamiętajmy, że have sth done możemy również użyć w sytuacji, kiedy ktoś nam coś zrobił, chociaż wcale tego nie chcieliśmy lub nie prosiliśmy o to.

I had my wallet stolen. Gary had his nose broken in a fight. I’ve had my car washed at the traffic lights.

Konstrukcja Konstrukcja tego wyrażenia jest dosyć prosta. Zaczynamy od osoby, następnie odmieniamy czasownik „have” w odpowiednim czasie, dodajemy rzecz, która będzie wykonywana, a na końcu wstawiamy 3 formę czasownika głównego.

Have + sth + Past Participle (3 forma czasownika)

Pamiętajmy, że podmiotem takiego zdania nie jest wykonawca, a osoba zlecająca!!!

Get sth done … Czasami zamiast czasownika have możemy użyć get, zwłaszcza w mowie potocznej.
