DesignHu mi dis tat for con trol ling de hu mi di fi ers or hu mi di fi ers with three pro gram mable li mits. Cur rent re la ti ve hu mi di ty (RH) is me a su red and dis play ed with two di gits. Con nec ted step or steps are in di ca ted withtwo red light emit ting dio des (LED) on the front co ver. Alarm is in di ca ted by dis play flashing. Mal func -tio ning hu mi di ty sen sor is in di ca ted with two dashes [- -] and dis play flashing.

HC-2 has two vol ta ge-free re lay out puts.

Limit valuesThe pro gram mable li mits are used to con trol de hu mi di fi ers or hu mi di fi ers. If the re la ti ve hu mi di ty ex -ce eds a pro gram mable li mit [3...99% RH], an out put is ac ti va ted with re lay chang e o ver and/or alarmis ac ti va ted.

q Li mit va lue 1 (P1). Step 1De hu mi di fying: Con nec tion is made at set li mit va lue. LED step 1 is lit and re lay 2 is ac -ti va ted. Dis con nec tion is made at the set va lue mi nus the va lue for the hys te re sis, (P1 - P2 [% RH]).Hu mi di fying: Con nec tion is made at set li mit va lue. Dis con nec tion is made at the set va -lue plus the va lue for the hys te re sis, (P1 + P2 [% RH]).

ProgrammingKeep the PGM-key pres sed for app rox. 3 se conds, the dis play swit ches from sho wing the ac tu al hu -mi di ty va lue (%RH) to the pa ra me ter list´s first pa ra me ter P0. The Pa ra me ter list con tain six pa ra me -ters, whe re the first pa ra me ter P0, sho wing the inter nal pro gram me ver sion, is not pro gram mable.

By pres sing ¹¸ each pa ra me ter num ber P0 … P6 is shown.

By pres sing PGM for a se lec ted pa ra me ter num ber, the pro gram med pa ra me ter va lue is shown.

Ac tu al pro gram ming of a pa ra me ter is star ted by pres sing PGM once. The left di git starts to flash in di -ca ting that the di git va lue can be chang ed with ¹¸. Fi nal con fir ma tion of set va lue is done by pres -sing PGM again. When con fir med the right di git will start to flash and the same pro ce du re is done tochange this di git. When fi nal con fir ma tion is done both di gits and the pro gram med new va lue isflashed three ti mes to con firm a suc cess ful pro gram ming of the pa ra me ter.

Pro gram ming can be can cel led be fo re the last con fir ma tion is done by pres sing ESC.

Af ter com ple ted pro gram ming of a pa ra me ter re turn to the pa ra me ter list by pres sing ESC.

The ma nu al ope ra tion does not take any con si de ra tion to set hys te re sis.

Changing from Manual mode to Automatic operationRe turn to auto ma tic ope ra tion mode can be made in two se pa ra te ways:

1. Press ESC for at le ast 0,5 sec.

2. If no key has been pres sed for app rox 30 mi nu tes, the con trol ler chang es to auto ma tic ope ra -

tion mode.

Externally installed Dis play moduleThe front co ver of the main unit is de ta chable. The dis play is moun ted to the front co ver and the con -nec tion to the main PCB is done with a cable run ning on the out si de of the en clo su re con nec ted witha 4/4 RJ9 mo du lar con nec tion. It is pos sible to re lo ca te the dis play on a re mo te pla ce if ne e ded, max50 me tres, in clu ding length of cable to the Hu mi di ty sen sor. The dis play is con nec ted by a 4-wire mo -du lar cable to the main unit.

Main unit with po wer sup plyThis unit con sist of the po wer sup ply mo du le with re lay out puts and two 4/4 mo du lar jacks for con nec -ting the sen sor and the dis play mo du le.

q One mo du lar jack for the dis play mo du le, 4/4 RJ9 jack with the fol lo wing sig nals:

q DGND, +18V, Re lay con trol 0..5V, Hu mi di ty sig nal 0..10V
