Catholic Life and Faith March 2016

From Pope Francis

“In the parables devoted to mercy, Jesus reveals the nature of God as that of a Fa-ther who never gives up until he has forgiven the wrong and overcome rejection with compassion and mercy. In these parables, God is always presented as full of joy, especially when he pardons. In them we find the core of the Gospel and of our faith, because mercy is presented as a force that overcomes every-thing, filling the heart with love and bringing conso-lation through pardon.” MV, 9

From St. John Paul II “The Crucified and Risen Christ is the utter revela-tion of Merciful Love. He is King of our hearts.” No-vember 22, 1981 “Where, if not in the Divine Mercy, can the world find refuge and the light of hope?” April 19, 1993 Catholic Life and Faith February, 2016 © Catholic Life and Faith www.CatholicLifeandFaith.net
