Dear Friends and Family,

As we go through these lovely days of winter, one very bright spot is the McLean Auxiliary Operation Angel project! The goal of this amazing effort is to ensure that each and every resident of our Health Care Center receives a special treat on Valentine’s Day! Care Partners and Certified Nurse’s Aides complete a wish list, keeping personal preferences and desires in mind. Auxiliary volunteers turn wishes into heart ornaments which family, friends and staff take off the Valentine’s tree and purchase. Volunteers then wrap and distribute gifts on Valentine’s day! Joy!

Our lives here at McLean are greatly enhanced by this long-standing volunteer group. They staff and run a gift shop, a favorite destination of many! They provide flower arrangements at holidays, run special programming such as Casino Days for our residents, and fund a special grant program through their proceeds from their many fund raisers. They are always working hard on behalf of our Health Care Center, and we’re all so very grateful!
