Risk Behaviors: Actions that can potentially threaten your health or the health of others
6 behaviors that account for most of the deaths & disabilities among young people: Tobacco use Unhealthy dietary behaviors Inadequate physical activity Alcohol and other drug use Sexual behaviors (can result in what??) Behaviors that contribute to unintentional
injuries and violence
Risks & Consequences
Cumulative Risks: Are related risks that increase in effect with each added risk, or combinations of risky behaviors. These may be repeated behaviors or combinations of poor choices. Examples: Smoking, eating a fast food
meal, texting while driving………can you name any more???
