Baristart: coffee & art challenge

Baristart, where two artists present themselves in two-hour of live paintingon a bigger format canvas. One of them is barista, which must prepare allordered coffee drinks. While time stops and barista is preparing coffeedrinks, the second artist is challenged to create a small illustration as part of coffee serving. All going along with selected music.

Samo NetočnýSamo studied architecture in Brno, Brighton and Wien, where he finished master degree at Academy Of Arts. He works in Wien and Poprad and is active in KKKD project, where researching transformation of czechoslovak vil-lages in time period before and after The VelvetRevolution.

MelkorPavol Melkor Červeniak is a wide minded young artist. He studied at Art School and finished study in atelier of graphic and exper-imental works, which was led by professor Peter Rónai. Melkor is currently working on his UMČO project, comics, illustrations and even sometimes, when the atelier or his own curios-ity demands he does interactive installation.

BardeJozef Barde Murcko is young creative from beautiful East Slovakia. He studied polygraphy, graphic design and book processing and he went to University in Ostrava, Czech Republic where he was studying Graphic Arts for two years. His streetart and art works are seen in German Heidelberg, Croatia or other places around Czech Republic and Slovakia. He worked for brands as Horsefeathers, Ronix and Barde is also staying behind the interior of absinth bar Na Proti in Brno or exterior of ballet school La Lecon de Josephine in Germany.

PossimisteWanderer who turns songs into fairytales and fairytales into songs full of childlike playfulness, melancholy and the whimsical Northern spirit. Her music (as the name “Possimiste”) is made of opposites: dreamy bells and dancing weird-voiced gnomes, electronical and epic natural sounds, future and past, joy, sadness, some unknown worlds and fairytales. Belonging tono specific genre it can be called “gnome-for-est bellfolk” or “fantasy music” for every listener has to find his own way of calling it.

Silvia KrupinskáSilvia Krupinská is a London based organic contemporary sculptor of Slovakian origin. She moved to London in 1999 where she studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art and Design. Her sculptures and paintings are out-comes of the exploration of natural textures. The surfaces have become her obsession. Krupinska isn’t copying the natural surfaces, but rather inventing her own using experimen-tal art techniques. She does regular blog posts, radio and TV art reviews about artists and exhibitions.

LixxLixx is Slovakia based drum&bass dj and fine music lover. He is djing more than 10 years now, focusing on wide range of drum&bass and “heart-touching” electronic music. Besides event promotion & organisation, PR, video making and other activities on a scene, he is an author & moderator of Slovakian first & only regular nationwide drum&bass showSignall_FM.

Kriss SaganMain focus of Kriss is on photography, illustra-tion, animation or video.Rarely experiment with sound and colors and bigger formats too.Kriss started to take pictures in early child-hood, she even attended art and music school for couple of years. Most of her projects proudly come from her work and inspiration at Livepozitive.

Robo KočanRobo Kočan is a professional photographer with international background.Through his photography leading audience into the world different from ours. Robo would love to transfer viewers to possi-ble parallel universe or enable astral traveling through their fantasy and dreams.

FoolkWobbly basses, slurred beats, cracking sam-ples, and lopsided synths. The Slovakian musician Foolk conjures sur-prisingly catchy tracks, which manage the feat of being danceable as well as doing strange, alien things to your head and stomach, out of these ingredients. Foolk publishes in the domestic Deadred-Starcastic Records, respected Mad-Hop records or russian 56STUFF.
