Shelley Hendrix is a wife, mother, Bible teacher, speaker, author, and television talk show host -- It is her passion to help others live a “heart smart life,” spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and relationally. While in Atlanta, Shelley hosted “Atlanta Live!”– a Christian Talk Show on Atlanta's WATC TV 57 for 6 years, and has been featured on radio and TV, including nationally and internationally. She speaks at various events nationwide and is also a published author. Shelley has written several studies and books, including “On Purpose for a Purpose” and “Wisdom: A Girl’s Best Friend” as well her newest book, “Why Can’t We Just Get Along?!” with Harvest House Publishers – deemed as a “Must Read” by Called Magazine Summer 2013. She has also contributed to devotions and curriculum for Barbour Publishing and Randall House Publishing as well as several national blogs.
In 2007, Church 4 Chicks was founded in the Atlanta area with the mission to create events and resources to help women live with purpose, but without the pressure (that so many women today feel). This ministry was born after spending over a decade serving women in her home church and in her speaking ministry. C4C has grown to a national platform with both online resources and events.
Shelley boldly and clearly articulates the message of God's grace and new identity in a way that connects the dots for so many followers of Christ while also communicating in a way that reaches the ears and hearts of those who have yet to embrace a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Shelley received her certificate of counseling at First Baptist Woodstock, GA in 2005, trained under the leadership of the Director of Counseling, Rev. James Eubanks. She has also received certificates from CLASS Speakers Training Seminar as well as the SCORRE Conference (FKA "Dynamic Communicator's Workshop"), led by Ken Davis and Michael Hyatt. Shelley is honored to be married to her best friend, Stephen Hendrix, MA, CADC II, with whom she serves as a coach and consultant through Heart Smart: Counseling, Coaching and Consulting Services in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
