Foundation kicks in for Caloundra PanthersThe Henzells Caloundra RSL Foundation has kicked in to help the Caloundra Panthers AFL club after its clubhouse was destroyed in a recent fire.

The Foundation donated $5,000 to launch the Caloundra Panthers fundraising appeal after the long serving AFL club’s North Street headquarters went up in flames on 20th September.

Henzells Director Garry Waters and Caloundra RSL President Gil Carr made the official presentation to Caloundra Panthers AFL Chairman Brad Hipwood, and many businesses and individuals have now followed with donations to assist the club get back on its feet.

The fire that gutted the clubhouse destroyed archives and memorabilia dating back to 1973. Adding to the heartbreak, the Panthers had just completed an $80,000 renovation of the premises.

Henzells, the RSL and the entire region were devastated to see such a proud sporting club that has done so much for the local community suffer this terrible setback.

The Foundation was only too pleased to do what it could to help out, in honour of its commitment to giving back to the community and helping local causes.

Henzells Agency is very proud of its engagement at community level. Through the Foundation and other

endeavours we have contributed significantly to local causes such as the Currimundi Special School, the Cancer Council, Pink Ribbon Day, Riding for the Disabled and various worthy volunteer organisations and individuals in need of a hand.
