An introduction
This story is based on Greek mythology. The Greek had many Gods. Most o themlived in Mount Olympus and some others on the Earth. The latter were the Gods o theUnderworld. All the Gods were immortal and ullled certain undamental needs, including
love and beauty through Goddess Aphrodite or even providing an explanation or whathappened to mortals ater death through God Hades, ruler o the dead. God Zeus was
God o the sky and ruler o Olympus. He was one o the most important Gods.
Our story
A long time ago in Mount Olympus Zeus, the most powerul God o all, and his wie Herahad a baby, Hercules.
Hades, the Lord o the underworld, was not happy, because he knew that this baby would
be the only one who would prevent him rom creating chaos among mortals, so he ordered
his demon servant, Styx, to destroy him. O course, a god could not be killed; gods wereimmortal, so rst he would have to turn Hercules into a mortal. But the demon could notkill the baby, so she took him to Earth and let him to be ound by a armer. This man andhis wie brought him up as i he were their son. They suspected that there was something
strange about this boy because o the gold medal that was hanging around his neck and his
unusual strength in spite o his early age.
When he was eighteen, his oster parents told him the truth and encouraged Hercules tond out about his real parents and his ate. He departed, ull o hope and anxiety. He arrived
at Zeuss temple and begged or advice. Zeus revealed himsel as his real ather, warned himabout Hades and ordered him to become a national hero to be able to return to Olympus.
