1. NORFOLK DRIVE EXTENSION Extending Norfolk Drive to Victoria Road.

Installing traffic lights where the two roads will meet.

2. UPPER SWAYNE ROAD, FROM TULIP DRIVE TO THE EXPRESSWAY

Adding kerb and footpath.

New road junction that will lead into a future housing development.

Extending water and wastewater services.

Building a swale (open water channel) to manage stormwater.

3. BOWEN AND TAYLOR STREET Building a roundabout at the Bowen / Taylor

Street intersection.

Making the roads safer around Cambridge High School. Final plans to be confirmed.

4. WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS New wastewater pipeline to service growth.

5. NIWA ENHANCED POND SYSTEM Pilot study at the Wastewater Treatment

Plant looking at environmentally friendly and sustainable options to treat wastewater.

6. ST KILDA ROAD Upgrading St Kilda Road.

Extending the footpath /cycleway to Thornton Road and completing the connection to the Cambridge High School and green belt.

7. HAMILTON ROAD / VICTORIA STREET Building a roundabout and improving

pedestrian safety.

8. VICTORIA ROAD / WILLIAMS STREET Installing a pedestrian crossing across both sides

of Victoria Street, one side will be controlled by traffic lights, the other will be a raised crossing.

9. CAMBRIDGE ROAD Removing passing lanes and adding cycle lanes

on both sides of the road between Peake Road and the green belt.

Proposal to reduce the 100km speed section to 70km. Community consultation through the Speed Limit Bylaw review.

10. AVANTIDROMETBC Possible intersection improvements at St Peters

School and the Avantidrome are being discussed but no commitment has been made.

11 LAKEWOOD Approved development connecting the CBD

to Lake Te Ko Utu, including residential apartments, retail, medical centre, office space, cafes and restaurants.

12. WHITTAKER STREET Widening the slip lane behind BP and the Pink

Church to two lanes.

13. CAMBRIDGE POOL Fundraising continues towards a new indoor

swimming pool.

14. CAMBRIDGE PARK Final stage of development. Cafe and further

compact housing also planned.

15. ST KILDA Commercial centre including cafe, childcare and

medical centre.

16. TE AWA LIFECARE VILLAGE 130 care beds, 131 villas, 170 apartments,

childcare centre. Build in six stages over 10 years.

17. HAUTAPU Z Station to be built at the Victoria Road

interchange.

A long term plan for the future industrial growth and development of Hautapu.

18. KARAPIRO WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND RISING MAIN‘17 Increasing the water treatment capacity.

19. CANOE RACING NZ AND CAMBRIDGE YACHT CLUB

Construction of the Canoe Racing NZ high peformance centre at the Karapiro Domain.

20. CAMBRIDGE SEWER PIPE BRIDGE Installing larger pipes and strengthening

the bridge.

21. WETLANDS BOARDWALK Replacing the wetlands boardwalk between

Rowling Place, Shelley Street and Noel Street and making it cycle friendly.

22. ST ANDREWS RETIREMENT VILLAGE A three storey building to accommodate a

combined age care facility and independent retirement village.

23. RESTHAVEN RETIREMENT VILLAGE 109 new residential units and a

community centre.
