Life Goes On - November
In the week after Remembrance Day, 154 visitors shared memories from the local home front during World War 1. This event was a collaboration with the Tea Tree Gully and District Historical Society Inc.
Several local people lent personal items for display.
Graham Bridgland mounted several displays on the lawn and in the washhouse from his ‘Touched by Fire Australia’ collection: Anzac tins, greeting cards, army tank models, insignia, equipment, etc.

Detailed research was evident in a set of posters in the hall on Recruiting and Conscription, Mothers & Sweethearts, Living Arrangements, Fashion, Sport, and Living with the Aftermath.

Heritage on Sunday – February – Welcome to 2019
We started 2019 with extended opening times – now 11 am - 4 pm. Two of the upstairs rooms have been completely re-arranged: the rear bedroom (recently containing the ‘Gentleman’s Den’ display) has now been assigned as a larger Nursery room. The old Nursery is now a Sewing room.
Various other display changes have been implemented upstairs - see if you can spot the differences!

Site works
Further work has been done outside the working kitchen. Thanks to Ian Firth for paving the sloping path to the toilets and the back door. It is planned to also install pavers in front of the toilets.
The Dairy in the Clarrie’s Shed extension has now been completed. A new schools’ module has been produced focussing on it.
The outside agricultural equipment now includes interpretation signs to aid visitors in identifying equipment and its use.
Access has been changed to the agriculture pavilion and a skylight fitted. A bird feeder and nest box have been installed in the garden.
Over the Christmas break, wall cracks were repaired upstairs.
